worms?

hey everyone, the other day, i ran out of potting soil for my plants, so i used some dirt from outside. Then yesterday, i noticed there was a small worm in one of my cups that has a plant in it. I was just wondering if thats a bad thing or a good thing? would the worm destroy the roots? or would the worms poop be good for the plants? comments would be appreciated!!

I used dirt from outside on my first @nd there weren't @ny m@jor problems. Th@t is how pests c@n get in, though. Worms @nd worm c@stings(poop) @re very good for your soil.
