Just hung my new light, LED's alone just didnt seem to cut it...

I took out the three cheaper LED's I had running along with my 2 Viparspectra 600's and replaced them with a cheap Vivosun 1000w HPS.

Theres plants in there.... :)

It's like a cathedral in there! What size tent is that? 1000w should do it eh?

I just pulled two highly offensive blurples out of my veg and replaced with another Mars Hydro SP250. Not that the cheapos weren't sufficient for veg but man my eyes saw everything green for 5 minutes after I walked out of the room. Glad to have them gone! Tent looks great, CHeers mate, gl to your grow! :yahoo:

Tent is 8'x8' but only 80" tall

I have 1000w and two 600 Viparspectra's.

Arrangement is changing around inside, trying to figure best placement for everything, had to get new humidifier today so....

you're probably only pulling about 500 - 600 watts total. you should be good.

My Viparspectra 1200 runs 4.17amps, One of my 480w at the plug quantum boards pulls 3.8amps and the other pulls 3.5ams. The other 480w quantum board pulls 3.5amps. The portable AC pulls 5.25amps., and the dehumidifier pulls 4.75amps. So in my example, I'm already at 11.75amps or so on a 15amp circuit. And I like to leave space for spikes. You should consider counting it out. Most of the lights and what not will have amp usage listed in the specs.

I installed 2x 15 amp circuits and 1x 20 amp for the grow space and lab. The 20amp is for oil production.

true, i had to take open up one of my old cob leds to see the driver so i could find the amps pulled. qb's are incredible, i'm running 4 240w boards from 1 x 12 amp plug, the fans and heaters and such all share a separate plug.

Agreed on the QBs. I have two. Both are the same Samsung boards, but the newer of the two is the RSPEC version. I thought it would pull more. It actually pulls slightly less.

Part of my grow is on a 15 amp, the ac and Humidifier, which they run all the time (fans) so on that circuit pretty much 3 fans (most of the time), then on a separate 20 amp I run lights (18/6), dehumidifier (rarely runs) and heater (which only runs at night) :ganjamon:

Sounds groovy dude! Picking up what you are laying down. Keeping a pulse on power usage is a key safety principle. But also, a breaker trip can lead to an entire enviroment shutting down!

I like to keep an eye on things on a daily basis.

Oh, hey! @oldskoolbudz , I think we have the same oil space heater. So if you look at the graphs above, that's how much energy mine is sucking out.

Thankfully, this past weekend was much warmer than it has been. It actually rained all last evening and over night. Hence the drop in Heater usage on the charts.

Well just a little update.... No breaker trip yet ....

I did buy an air cooled hood, which is way better (should have spent the extra $50 in the first place when buying the kit).
Bought a small 8" hood by sunsystems, wanted the Magnum XXXL 8" but I didnt have the $, it was twice as much, I know it would be better but.....

Temp on sensor #1 =78/49% (by heater and dehumidifier)
Temp on sensor #2 = 75/59% (on other side of tent on A/C side) - after a/c just ran

Temp sensor #1 now = 77/60%
Temp sensor #2 now = 75/69%
Leaf temp = 78

So far so good, still trying to make things more precise, quite a learning curve, crazy how the HID effects everything compared to what I had with just LED's.
