I have done some searching on this topic and I have not found a definitive answer. I have seen that many people recommend storing seeds with rice or a desiccant but have much is the proper amount to use? I have some 1 ounce packs of drierite (Calcium Sulfate). I also have some quart size mason jars and a jar attachment for my vacuum sealer. I want to know if I seal my seeds in a jar with one of these drierite packs will that dry the seeds beyound the point of recovery?
Will storing seeds in a vacuumed sealed glass jar with desiccant dry them too much?
