Will Ozone hurt my girls?

I have a 12" dermatological UV lamp that I've enclosed in a lightproof tube with a fan driving air through it. Where once was a strong smell of the girls is now just a faint odour of Ozone (O3). The Ozone is breaking down the volatile compounds in the air but I'm now wondering if it will also attack the girls as well. Anyone any experience of this?

If there's enough of it in an enclosed space, it can harm quite a few things (including you). If your garden's exhaust dumps into an unused space, that would be a good location for your O₃ generator, IMHO.

Air fresheners (attempt to) cover up odor, carbon filters trap odor, and ozone generators destroy odor. O₃ is a strong oxidizer. Think bleach.
