how come so many people have vaporizers and dont even use them? it's so much safer for your health. it just so contradicting for medical patients to smoke instead. no offense to them, just saying.

Sometimes its easier to just smoke a bowl, light one up, ect..maybe thats why? At least for me, got mine and still use pipe lots of times, but your right.

First off... Welcome to the 420 Mag forum :cheer:
As for your statement, "just saying"... just saying what?... what is it exactly that you are "just saying"?... I would imagine that most peeps have their reasons for owning a Vape and not using it exclusively... there are so many other ways medicate/smoke herbicide!
Why would you say that it is a contradiction for med users to not use a vaporizer? Not all of us are in a position to either afford one, nor are all of us in need of such a thing!

Besides, having only recently experienced a vaporizer, I have to say that, I like smoking through a pipe better, I like the taste and the smoke... seems, in my experience anyways that a vaporizer takes more of that away than I care to give up!

That isn't to say that I will never own one or that I may even one day have no choice but to smoke through a vaporizer.
Until that day, I'm more than happy to use a pipe/bong/chillum or whatever else gets'er done!

No matter what methods we use to enjoy the herb... I hope all of us will have a top notch experience...
420 on my brethren! :blunt::roorrip::grinjoint::cool:

I use my Volcano vaporizer daily and have been for the last 5 years.

I think it's mostly due to people not being aware of the technology, not having access to them and they are unaware of the health risks, the rest just don't have the extra revenue to get one.

Joints/pipes are so much simpler.
Plus when I vape I feel like somethings missing.

-Jus' sayin.

Thats the truth I became a Medical Marijuan Patient last year after almost 20yrs without bud (I was a Teamster) and when I started using Marijuana again I learned about the Volcano Vape but never tried one. It is just that the technology I never knew existed and as a single father of four I can't afford the $600 + for a quality Vape with accessories and bags.

+Rep Good question :wood::slide::tokin::theband::tommy::cheer:

You are missing the tars, carcinogens, burnt leaf matter and other harmful things, each of which gives added effects to your body and mind.

:yummy:Ah-ha, the long lost verse....

tars, carcinogens, burnt leaf matter and other harmful things, each of which gives added effects to your body and mind.

Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs

I've tried using a vaporizer and it just doesn't feel right to me. A bowl/joint is so much easier to use, for me at least.

From the people I've talked to, it can vary from it taking too much time to set up, to it being a more intense high than normal. I haven't used vaporizers a lot, so I'm not familiar with the differences in the high, but I want to buy one – I like having a little ritual to go through before I smo--uh, vape.

It's definitely something that takes getting used to. I've helped hundreds of people make the switch, it's easy if you focus on the health aspects of it all. After a week or two, you don't notice the difference anymore and your body has adjusted to the new routine.

I wonder if anyone is willing to take the step and give it a chance and report back here as the days/weeks pass. ;)

For the true medical user, I would think that it would be a no-brainer between the lack of combustion-related pollutants and the fact that the user can control which "actives" he or she is receiving by controlling the temperature.

It might not be as idiot-proof as smoking - but it isn't rocket surgery (brain science, lol?), either.

I was looking to buy one in the next few days probly take a while to get here but Ill check back and let you all know.

One issue I have is the prices vary a bit depending on where you go and there are so many crap vaporizers. Anyone know a good solid unit for about $200 or is that a bit too cheap to get a quality unit?
no way I can float $600 for it though...

Volcano is the only one I personally recommend, maybe some of the other members can give their feedback on lesser expensive options. I'd stay away form the portable ones however as not one of them has yet to step up with a scientific data sheet on what is actually going into your lungs, only Volcano has supplied this to my knowledge. ;)

Ok thanks guys!

Yah from what Ive read most of the portable units are on par with those cheap vapes from ebay lol. I want something solid that will last a while and can fill bags.

Thanks,
