Who sells a adjust a shade setup complete?

New here. Hey everybody!

Going to be getting my card next mo. and am going to do my own thing.

Ive been looking around for a 400w. HPS and a 600w. MH setup with the difuser and a + bulb, plus cord and balast. Searching here and all over the place has turned up empty. Does Sun even make them anymore? Or are they all knockoffs these days? This is just one area I'm having trouble locating good equipment. I'm also looking for a good place to buy Relays (at a good price) for my Hydro pumps, Fans, etc. Think I'm going with Green Air equipment (sensors, etc) but need to keep a few costs down up front.

Any tips on how to use the search feature here appreciated as well!

Oh ya, I'm planing to start with White Widow. Anybody have any info on who the origonal strain came from/best seeds?

I have been checking the sponsors but nobody seems to sell an "Adjust-A-Shade" by "Sun" Complete. I have found components sold seperatley on ebay but it seems like it would be more expensive to buy them that way. Pluss I'm not sure if they are a knock off or for real.

Ive also been researching White Widow. Sounds like a great strain to start with! The one sponsor that has the best looking pic is out of stock. Bummer! I'm still interested in the story behind the plant. Who first made it, who has the best strain, etc. Im going to do a comparison on medium indoor plants when I can get enough time on the puter. THC levels along with the other ratings listed from the seed producers. I'll publish my findings here after the seeds I decide on arrive.

White Widow is a good one again give one of or sponsors a email as to which breeders WW to buy. All are not created equal! :peace:

Wish I had more time on the puter these days for research...

I have found who started WW by going threw a bunch of the "grow" posts on here. There are two places who supply the seeds from "Da Man" but no WW only. All are a hybrid with other strains. Purple, Amazon, etc. I'm gonna start w/ some Bubba Kush Clones from a local dispensery. I'll be doing more research into the whole WW thing. I want to start the mothers from good seed stock but am going to have to start w/ bought clones to cut the inital startup time down. Will give me some breathing room to find just what I'm looking for. I'm going to assume that since their always out of stock (and have a F-ing great pic, along with some good data) that Green House Seeds sells one of the better origonal WW strains?

Going to start off the flower room w/ about twice as many clones as I think the two 600HPSs will grow well to get an accurate account of just what the two lights will do with the reflectors I wind up with. (MORE FUN THAN A LIGHT METER!) Haaaahaha!

I'm planing on doing two different strains eventually. Jeorge S's bible (and other books) talk about "Champaigne" and how sweet it is for a tube garden Hydro setup, but I cant locate anything on the strain...... Has It been turned into a Hybrid under another name? Ive been looking at a dumpload of data from many of the seed banks. My paramiters are short (8-12" to start flowering. Short flower time. 6-10 weeks) Plenty to choose from! That along with the THC content is only a concideration for one of the strains I'm wanting to grow. To be able to trade with a provider a powerhouse high quality Bud for what I need is my idea. My doc says I have early stages of Glaucoma. Lets not forget to mention Arthritis, Stress, Anxiety, Alcoholism, (dont care to drink and smoke at the same time! My liver will love me!) Wow! I sound like a mess dont I? I feel it! Time for a change! The Med M.J. here in CA may be the way out of a few bad issues I'm having. My eyes have been opened to the whole deal threw the research Ive been doing the past few months. Just SUCKS that the only reason its not legal is revinue! I havent smoked much over the past 15yrs becouse of on the job testing, etc. I was sent in for a test once and the Super who was a good friend of mine from back when I did about everything laughed and told the big boss about what a waste of money it was to get me tested. Haaaa. I'm about to start my own thing making parts, and wont have to worry about that anymore. My hair is Looong and Ive always said to take a folicle test and dont waste my time anymore. Cant say that now.

Back in the 90s I did alot of outdoor growing. Johnny bud seed style. Referance to Johnny apple seed. Had little luck. The stuff I grew on my balcony wasnt much better. Bag seed, Spyder Mites, Fungus, etc. I think I have it down now. Still need to learn more about nutrient (for hydro) EC up and down mixes to use during the week between changing the Res. Honest to god, the most chalenging thing so far has been desighning a good air treatment system. For bouth the incoming and exhaust air without any chance of skunk sneeking out. Hahaha. I think I have it nailed down now.

You can easily make any batwing style reflector into an Adjust-A-Shade by just using some small fishing wire to bend the wings in.
I have one of the vertizontal parabolic refelctors that has an adjustable light socket mount. Works very well.
 
yeah that is true but you don't necessarily have a

(not skewed properly) which is why this reflector is a gull wing versus a bat wing.

if you trace a ray diagram you'll see that the V above the bulb is a pinnacle feature of the gull wing. also u can put 2 bulbs in the large version of the adjust a wing.

That's what I'm going to do with mine, run a 400w HPS and a 400w MH. It's ordered and should be here within a week.
