White Widow Fem, Inside 2 Cubic Feet, Soil Under LED

Hey K! It is slow compared to your previous ones isn’t it? It’s a good colour though.:)
Maybe you should switch to daily updates... might speed it up ;)

Seriously though, is it slower, or are we imagining that?
And if it is, do you have any ideas about that? What’s your feeding regime?

:Namaste:

Hi Amy! She sure seems slower. About a week, week and a half maybe. But I am not sure :) I flipped my first WW at the end of week 5. But you remember how small she ended up being. Now week 6 is ending and I am sure I shall give her at least one more week to veg. I shall take a few pics tomorrow and compare them to the previous WW at the same stage of the grow. And then we may discuss the possible causes, if she proves to be slower :)
One thing I am noticing for sure is she has a thinner trunk and main branches...

End of week 6 update

And here is a link to my previous plant at the very same period of her life. Only the previous one, by this time, was already flipped for one week.
So not quite sure whether this grow is slower :) maybe just a bit. You guys tell me.
What worries me a bit is that pale color on the new growth and on the edges of some older leaves. What could that be? A lockout maybe? This grow, to keep gnats away, I am watering more often with less water and no runoff. Regime is two times feed, one times water. Had not seen any gnats yet, while during previous grow they were all over the place. But this pale leaf thing is making me wonder if I do something wrong.

Here where we have super soft water (i.e. no minerals), light green like that means not enough magnesium (the active ingredient in chlorophyll). Classic magnesium deficiency is yellow-green between the veins with darker green veins.

Nebula Haze has a great symptom checker at her great website.

I agree, the older leaves look like they are showing early signs of nutrient deficiency. Usually the lime green new growth isn't a big deal. When it happens to me, it's almost always at the start of explosive growth, as if the feedings are having trouble keeping up. Perhaps your plant has recovered and is now trying to take off.

I have checked the pics of my previous grows and yeah, they all seem to have this pale new growth at the same period in their lives. Maybe it is like @HoBrah808 said, she starts taking off after I finished cliping her leaves away and she recovered.
But those couple of leaves in the top right corner still look odd.

Hi K - sounds like a plan. I’m sure the fade will improve once you get that sorted. The pale new growth can sometimes just be because the plant is pushing out new growth faster that it can keep up with and it usually deepens in colour as it grows out. But the fade is something else again, as you say maybe a lockout. (What nutes do you use btw?)

Not far off the flip now...

:Namaste:

The nutes are the same as for my previous plants. Some local gardening store bought stuff with suitable NPK ratios.

Week 7 day 3
Busy evening, so why not finish it with an update :)

Flushed (kind of) her tonight with water and home made CalMag solution, which I inteoduced to any of my plants for the first time. Runoff showed 1250 ppm, checked the input and it was 700 ppm :D a bit on the strong side with CalMag :)
Idealy I would like to flip her when she reaches the bottom of the fan, and really hope she can pull it off until end of this week. I would not want to go too deep into July with this grow, as the temperatures get quite hot at that time. Not very good for my setup.

Nice and FFFLLLAAATTTT!!!!!! Probably the flattest canopy I've ever seen.

Super cool.!!! :thumb:

Thanks for kind words everyone. :)
She drooped down and looks wilted. Shall give it a week or so.
If you get a branch like that again and it's pretty bad just cut the branch part in a V and the plant part as a notch fit them together and tape it. Grafting works when the branch scabs over like that.
