That would really SUCK. Oh well, on the one hand I can (sort of) see why it might be considered to be a (politically) "good" - what an oxymoron, lol - thing to remove something that in some ways drives home the fact that a portion of our members are pretty f'king apathetic (I hope they can drag themselves to the polls when an actual election happens 
), but if that is the case it's pretty sad. To me the MotM contest has great merit for many reasons. So much so that I grumbled a bit when I was nominated - and sat stunned when I realized that I had won - because I felt that I didn't deserve to be in such company.
But if they had to lead one of the contests to the killing fields, why did they feel the need to pick one of the two that a person couldn't buy by visiting the right dispensary? (Ok, that might have come off as a little bit harsh. I fear that the current meds aren't doing such a great job of keeping the veneer of civility and sanity from slipping.)
IDK, I've been doing a fair amount of wandering via Google in order to feed my thirst for knowledge of growing other types of crops hydroponically, and in my voyaging I've ended up in a few other cannabis forums (SHH! - I was just visiting, honest) and from some of the comments that I read while perusing their Flowers/Fruits/Vegetables/OTHER Herbs forums it seems that the non-participation of a great percentage of the membership is a common trend. I just hope that we can find a better solution to it than to just lay down and give up like those lesser I mean other sites have. We've got an awesome core but I'd love to see more participants and less lurkers.

Hey Soniq just a question along that particular subject (points). I just received a PM from 'well doesn't say from who' saying that I've just received 2 420 points from 'member named here' and to use them wisely.
I'm very honored to receive these points, but as you have stated, you are still working on an explanation of this system. How did a 'new member' get this information and give me these 'points' and how am I supposed to thank him for it, not knowing of course what it is! LOL! I really would like to thank him/her, I think?

All I really do on this site is peruse for questions that are written in proper English (not this insane text-message language that has taken over the Net) and then proceed to answer then succinctly and accurately, because it pleases me to do so.
It seems most of the folks here are in two categories -- the former that I just mentioned, and the other classification, who seem only interested in getting others to summarize the information that is so readily available in the archives of this site.
I myself learned a number of new things when I started to search through the multitude of old posts, which is why I felt inspired to try to join the "420 Family" here -- you do indeed have an awesome core of dedicated posters.
But I have no idea how to get the lurkers to participate -- I've never really participated in the MoM and PoM polls, but I can imagine if less than 100 people are voting, it's not really much of a contest at all, which I suspect is why this new "credit" system is being implemented.
Regardless, I'm just getting gregarious as I can't find any good questions to answer, so I'll slow my fingers from their furious attack on my keyboard and direct them instead towards my pipe... a more suitable destination, considering my current apathy to doing much anything else.

Hi Roseman All I'm seeing is talk about interest and minimums and loans, but no explanations. Am I missing something? Like the small writing at the bottom of a credit card offer.

my guess is:
Points aka, credits, (some sites call them bonus points or bonus bucks)are accumulated for Activity. You get points for posting, for new threads, PMs, posting pics, getting or giving REP, all activty grows points.
You can grow points by depositing them into the savings account and earn interests.
There can be contests or prizes or discounts in exchange for points, so you write a check for your points to someone, maybe like to the site.
You can swap them or give them away.
You can trade them, or lose them.
You might win MOM with them, perhaps.
Sorry Roseman! I didn't know you had replied. My fault for not checking! Thank you for your explanation, like all things new (at least with me) it will take time to understand it all!
