When veg ends and flower begins in NorCal

When does veg end and flower usually begin in Northern California? I do use my daylight calendar to see when I start to get less than 14 hours of light but asking anyway. .

I manicured my plants early so during their growth spurt, they have a wide base and want to know what time I have from now.

Might be helpful for you to mention the strain(s) you're growing, since they don't all require the same number of hours of darkness in order to initiate flowering. Indica vs. sativa and all that.
