When transitioning from veg to flower

I grow in coco so the only time I'd flush is to reset my coco, say if I made a batch to strong and it immediately effects my plants then I'd flush out my coco and feed properly.
I haven't flushed between veg and flower, I don't know of anyone that does, and I don't flush before harvest, I feed right to the end.

I'm growing in soil, I was just curious if the built up nitrogen would cause the flowering stage to slow till the nitrogen is absorbed or washed out. Thanks for the info @Canuckush!

I use a 3 part liquid nutrients mix that has different measurements for the different stages of growth so the ratios of npk are adjusted throughout.
Hope you find your answer for soil, I've only attempted a soil grow once.

Plants need nitrogen to grow no need to flush when transitioning to flower ! They need for the stretch and additional leaves that form as the plants grow

When I ran Fox Farm nutrients, it was indeed important to flush during the transition, and the feeding chart recommended doing so several times in the grow. Transitioning, the FF line moved from using a veg mix to bringing in Open Sesame, their bud developing supplement, and it was generally understood that this was also a time when they transition the type of nutrition that was being supplied, and that it was best to clear any unused veg specific nutes out of the soil before moving on in this stage. Your nutes may work differently, but I recommend the flush. During synthetic nutrient grows where salt builds up in the soil, I would flush between 3-5 times, depending on how ambitious you want to be.

I always flush between veg nutes, and flower nutes. Once the stretch is completed I then flush the pots and follow up with a full flower feed. Depending on strain that's about 2-3 weeks after switching to 12/12. Seems to work good for me.

Thanks @Emilya ! You never steered me wrong with the info that you shared with me before. I'm using Advanced Nutrients line

Thank you for the info @Pepperhead That does make sense. I was just worried more so about lockout. Excessive amount of nitrogen when potassium is needed.

Hay @Greenlizard! Thank you for your response.
Unfortunately due to my lack of experience. I fed the girls Veg nutes right after I lollipop and prepare them for flower. The next day was there first full our rotation of light. I wish I would have ask about this information before I screwed it up. Lol
