when is the right time to transplant from 1" rwc to 3" rwc cubes?

some of my lil ones have the tap root coming thru the bottom of the cube, looks like one root only though.

is it a problem if i was to transplant too early? i see root and afraid if they are exposed to light and/or are just sitting on the plastic under the rwc cubes...

already did!

i transplanted even the lil ones with just a tap root and they are still looking superb(dare i say even healthier now), 2nd set of true leaves is developing nicely.

Actually going to start culling down from 15 to 12(i only have room to veg 12) shortly over the next week.

I've found that theres more chance of getting males from seed if the tap root hits the bottom of seed tray. I always try to move to next size before this happens.

I've also read about this in one of the articles way in the begining of the general cultivation section. Though I started my first grow in 6" deep pots, and had 4 out of 4 females, I'm personally still not convinced that the sex of a seed isn't determined at the moment that seed was polinated. Can a seed be a-sexual untill it's germinated? I don't know enough about plant genetics to say for sure.
