Now most store bought bags of compost will contain some nutrients which may last several weeks, so it may suggest you do not have to feed whilst vegging for around an equal time & if so feeding towards end veg could be required but only at 1/4 or 1/2 strength of application recommended.
I don't use grow nutrients any more for vegging as i know my compost has nutrients with in it but only use nutrients for root growth whilst vegging, ye i under stand what i just said may differ from common basic's it is just another approach which is not often mentioned.
At best whilst vegging i feed once a week with nutrient application changing on stage of plant growth ... start light & work up dosage as the plant gets bigger
Helps avoid nutrient burn in the early stages as little plants don't need full dosage but bigger plants may do !
For flowering twice a week, i do my main feed on a Sunday helps keeps things regimented next feed mid week is 1/2 strength & may add a little P/K boost any other watering's in between is just plain water or what ever you use.
As Rico mention little & often is practical with a diluted solution the key to this method is not to over water as to understanding your grow environment as when to apply !
