Planted in basic potting soil. It’s getting 18/6 light. Had some small bugs (aphids?) so wife dusted with cinnamon and used Sevin spray. Trying hard not to overwater, though we disagree on watering protocol. Have not fertilized yet. I may try adding loose soil around stem, as others have suggested this if plant is too leggy. LED light source is 4-5 inches, but alternate that with natural light in sunny South Carolina springtime. Photos attached. Thnx

No more chemicals on your plants first off edible plants are safe not smokeable plants.In the industry no contamination is allowed so sevin is a no no.
And if you buy soil for growing cannabis your plants will not have the issues your having.Try better soil and make sure it has ph balance and good supply of nutrients and those clay pots are no good either they hold salt and that locks out takeup of nutrients.
