When do you begin to count flowering days?

there's actually another thread going and it seems they debate on date of flip or first pistols popping. Many say day they flip other says about 7-10 days after the flip.

That’s what I was thinking...sounds like wishful thinking to count from the flip. Well then, 11 days down!

Yeah, I did a few searches and found so much conjecture. It seems like a due date with a baby...in the end, they’re ready when they’re ready

one thing I found in common was the people that counted from day one flip said they had to let it go a week or 2 past recommended flowering time from breeder so with that being said sounds like people mix preflower with flowering. I'm new myself and I just flipped a few days ago. Prior to flipping I hit then with 36 hours straight darkness to 12\12. The first few days in my eyes is pre as it's starting to show sex.

If you're lucky and it isn't closer to three weeks. My sativa leaner took her sweet time.
