Hi All, What's up with the leaves on this baby ?? they feel almost crisp on the yellow parts .
It has gone through a bit of stress ,or is the light to close or something else.
Cheers

Also,if you're doing hydro you need to ph your water to around 6.5 and make sure your ppm's aren't too high or you'll get nute burn which is what this looks like.

Using bubble bucket and nute's are at 75% and I'll get a ppm pen today and check that out .
Cheers
  • Excellent - around 5.5-5.8
  • Good - around 5.3-6.5
  • Acceptable - around 5.0-7.0
  • Disturbed nutrient concentration - under 4.5 and higher than 8.0
  • Permanent harm to the roots - under 3.5 and over 9.0
pH too low. If the pH level is 5 or beneath that, then it is clear that certain elements, especially aluminum are shifting to the point of where they are becoming toxic to your plant. You can stop this from happening by making sure the nutrient liquids stay at a pH of 5.5 or higher. Always take a measurement of the pH of your nutrient water and make the necessary changes prior to feeding it to your plant. One way to raise the pH is by mixing caustic potash into the water, which you can find at a local garden center. More info in the article How to rinse your hydro growing medium

pH too high.
When you have a pH of 6.5 or higher, the calcium, iron and phosphorus ions are constrained to each other. Even though these elements are existing in the solution, they are not expendable. If ever you find this has happened the effects are a severe reduction in the progress of your marijuana plant.
The solution to a pH of 6.5 or above is adding a diluted nitric acid to the nutrient water during the growth stage. Once it reaches the flowering stage add diluted phosphoric acid to it. You can also find these in your local garden center labeled pH- growth and pH- flowering. Just make sure not to overdo it with adding this.
Once you have added something like pH+ or pH- you will need to measure the nutrient water to ensure the pH balance is right. Remember that if you end up raising the EC because of the acidity levels, it could easily result in a decrease in pH levels.

Hi Well I got a Bluelab EC CF PPM wand and did a reading in my bucket .
Cf 6
EC 0.6
PPM 500Tds 300
Any info on what this should be and how do you correct it if it's out ???
Cheers

I would bet its a excess of phosphorous. Curling leaves, blotchy chlorosis, the plant is a little young to see if its a mobile nutrient issue, but it looks like it. Flush for a few days then start again at half power. Dont remove the damaged leaves till the stems start to turn pale. You dont need any shock. Just my opinion

Cheers mate ,will go do that now and do the next mix at 50% .When I mix the nutes what should the Ec be ??
Cheers Kev

Im a ppm guy. I dont do Ec.

So it depends on a couple things. First find out how sensitive you plants are to nutes. If they are sensitive this is your driver. Your nutrients will probably not go past 600/900ppm at the peak. Read up on your strain.

The second thing to think about is how old your plants are. Seedlings dont get the boots put to them till they are 5 or 6 nodes tall. Seedlings 200/250 ppm

A full on bush headed for flower might have nutrients as high as 1200ppm, some go higher, but i top out here. Flower is the same way. Start em slow then give them the beans. Watch your leaf tips for any brown dryness. If you see ANYTHING, flush for 4 or 5 days and chill with the nutes when you start again.

If you are using a three part nutrient Micro, Grow, Bloom, I try to mix calcium and micro on a different days than other nutes, AND DEFINATELY DONT MIX THOSE TWO this will almost prevent lock out.

Becareful when adding nitrogen to a flowering plant. Too much causes nitro toxicity. This will bacically end your flower production if not treated quickly and accurately.

An excess or deficiency usually started a week or two before the issues show up. Fixing the problem wont happen overnight. Dont do too many changes at once. Get a good diagnosis and see it through

Buy a book called Cannabis Encyclopedia by Jorge Cervantes. The nutrient section alone is absolute gold

Check ph first and solution temp. This look like ph trouble. You need to try to keep it around 5.8

love the panel trucks
@Stltoed love those rims, 411 rear ! Madness!

@panel350 a 350 cu in? what kind of transmission?

Sorry for the hi_jak:peace:
Very nice! My panel...

It has an injected 388, built 350 trans 4:11 gears. Putting on a new electric water pump and alternator, but i need to make a pulley spacer

Panel guys gotta stick together!!
Love ya Van Stltoed ,The chop and shaved doors !! mint!!! high gears ,low for me 2.78 for cruzing gas here is $2.16 a litre that would be around $9 a gallon LOL.Got to love old school!!!
Kelticblue mines a 350ci chev with a th400 trans .

So do they have panels like mine in Australia? Man gas is insane. I always thought it would be cool to take a car down there for a cruise... i wonder what it would take accept for paying for fuel with gold bars. I will be getting a th400 someday, i should have bought one years ago
