What's up with my plants?

New to growing, started these from seed about 2 weeks ago, transplanted to a coco mix, not sure how much water I should be giving them at this point, mostly just been spraying the soil. One has a bit of a drop and a slight brown/orange spot on the leaves. Is this from over watering or under? Is this soil to rich for them and it's a nutrient burn?

Thanks all..

Thanks for your reply!
It's a 70/30 coco perlite mixed at 50/50 fox farm potting mix. I also thought perhaps the light was to close but raised it tonight a few inches so its sitting about 12-13 inches roughly from the plants. I did cut drainage holes in the solo cups and have been watering very lightly once a day around the edges to encourage root spread. Plants are roughly 2 weeks old.. how much and often should I be watering?

please read my paper on watering, it should explain all you need to know about that subject. Young plants are very tender... I am betting the damage came from a short exposure too close. Interesting mix... did someone recommend that to you? I have no idea what the pH is on that hybrid soil, and really have no idea how to tell you to manage it. Anything I would recommend at this point would be a sheer guess.

It was recommended by my local hydroponic/grow shop. What soil mix would you suggest? I'll check out your watering post asap.
Thanks for all your time and assistance.

you should call up that rocket scientist and ask him what the pH is on that frankensoil he had you mix up and probably there is some local person who is using it to great effect who could give you some hints. Find out what they are doing, and do it too. It is the mix I object to... each of the individual components alone would have been a known quantity and easily dealt with. The problem is that coco is buffered to drift the pH down, and the FF is buffered to drift the pH the other way... Does this mean it doesn't drift at all now? What a nightmare that would be to grow in. Please let me know what they recommend... I am very curious at this point how this stuff works and what part of the mix is dominant.
