I am in my first cycle of what I hope are many to come. I have always wanted to grow and the opportunity finally presented itself to me. We, my buddy and I, are running a hydro 24 plant with 2 1k hps and a co2 tank. so far we are in week 3 of flowering after 2 weeks of veg. things are going well. we have violator kush and blue hash. we could only get 16 clones of those so to fill the other 8 slots i found 5 moby dick and 3 exdous cheese. the cheese seems way weaker than the others. (trust me i didnt want to run 4 diff strains). anyway, my buddy, whose's house its at, is always wanting to cut the fan leaves, he calls them suckers. i have strongly disagreed with this and think he finally gets it. thanks to all the info on here i have finally convinced him. this site is great and cant wait to post some pics.

Removing fan leaves or not is something that folks on both sides feel passionately about. Before you draw any conclusions you should check out 420fied's journals: Come SOG With Me: 112 Plants, 2 Liter, Hempy SOG and 2 Liter Hempy SOG. His defoliation flies in the face of conventional wisdom, but with his setup he has excellent results.
