What to do with extract?

Hey guys so after my last grow I wanted to do something with the trim and have made some extract using alcohol... now I'm left with this thick black goop... question is what can I do with it now...
Pain relief would be the best thing if I could make it into something
Or
Making something to get high lol and how would I use it... I'm normally just a bong smoker but if I could find a healthier way that would be tops.

Well, you could get a nail for your bong and dab it. You can coat bud with it and make moon rocks.

Thanks everyone yea It works I followed grandpas reciepe well read it once was like ok alcohol 99.8%, trim, combine freeze, Evap alcohol in double boiler without boiling (used a fan to help Evap ) got left with this thick black goop... licked my fingers after putting it in a silicon pot and man I had a good sleep... first one In about 6 months so that was awsome (the reason I started smoking in the first place was for sleep)
Now I suffer from nerve pain from a c5 fracture but refuse opioids due to getting addicted to them when I started on them..
Now my last visit to the dr he found a lump in my teste and wanted me to see a specialist and come back for more follow ups.... long story short i haven't gone back due to personal reasons and would love to go back one day and hopefully not have the lump and not need removal...

And as much as I'd love to be able to go through sues study hall unfortunatly another one of my issues is I don't have a long attention span and things confusing me tends to give me anxiety..
but if I'm right capsules would be the black goo mixed with coconut oil& lecithin ? Then placed into capsules?? How do I know vaguely how much to use

That's the problem. Without knowing the THC and CBD content you have no way of controlling the dose. I haven't been able to afford the equipment yet, but I'm looking at using a rosin press to extract, and a test kit from Cannalytics Supply. Their 20/25 Test Kit with a refill is cheaper than the 40/50 Test Kit.

Until you can test for potency, you just have your experience smoking to guide you. Did you weigh the bud before you performed the extraction? Did you weigh the extract? Start by gauging the amount of extract you need per dose. For example if half a gram of dried flower controlled your pain then:

weight of dried flower / weight of extract = dried flower equivalent
250 gm / 45 gm = 5.55
This is your equivalency factor, so 1 gram of your extract is about equal to 5.55gm of dried flower. I just picked some numbers here as an example.

Now you want to find out how much you need per dose:

Desired Dose / equivalency factor = dose
0.5gm / 5.55 = 0.09gm This is the amount you want in each capsule.

A size 2 capsule holds 0.37 ml. Let's fill them with 0.35 ml of Cannabis oil, and make 10 capsules. You'll need 0.9 gm of your extract, and enough coconut oil/lecithin to bring this to 3.5ml, and put it into the capsules.

This is just an example, you'll need to figure it out from there.

Tbh I dont know. I just know its a more clean way of getting some nice xtracts. It is different in appearance, texture and flavour cant speak for the medicinal side of it though. Id imagine it still depends on what strain youre using as to what the concentrations of cbd and thc would be. Just use the search bar or ask the question in another thread, youll find a quick answer for sure. Hope all goes well brother

You can buy a Dabpress 3X5" dp-rp35s Rosin Cage Kit with Dual Anodized Plates, made by a sponsor for $349 on Amazon. You can build the same thing for under $100, If you have the skills and tools.

So. for about $500 USD you can buy all you need to process a pound of dried flower in about an hour. That's less than a good grow light.

I'm not knocking DabPress. The tools to machine and anodize their presses are very expensive. Their units are a very good bargain at their prices.
