What nute deficiency is this and what can I do to fix it?

Promix HP (Soilless)
General Hydroponics Flora Series + Calmag
3 Gallon Smart pot
Indoors 100x3w Mars Hydro LED.

Most of the older lower fan leaves have all turned brown and crunchy due to a nitrogen deficiency, which I thought would fix it by upping the micro nutes, but it didn't seem to have any effect since 6/20. Now the problems are trickling upwards to the bud fan leaves. What should I be doing differently to fix these nute deficiencies?

Here are the last 4 waterings and nute amounts in ML/Gallon.

Bud I gotta say it looks like a pH issue to me but lets see what others say. I see what looks like a mag def but again I think looks due to pH. Lets see what others say. To me it just don't look like a simple deficiency but multiple is why I say that. Your stems look to purple to me as well.

I thought promix hp was soilless and thus should be ph 5.5 - 6.5? Is that not the case?

No, you are correct on that but that don't mean that you don't have a few pockets in the soil/soiless that have been staying moist. Then when water/water nutes are added them moist pockets don't change. The dry soil and will soak up the water until you get runoff yes but the moist pockets wont mix with the new water/nutes at all because they are already wet. If a few of those pockets do exist you could have a few pockets with a pH clear down in the low 4's ( a lot of salt)and it won't show in your runoff at all. Have you flushed your plant at all during your grow?

I'm not saying this is for a fact the case don't get me wrong but that's what it looks like to me. If you havent flushed yet even after veg I would even feel stronger that this is the case though.

I haven't flushed since veg, but up until 6/20, I have only been giving her like 1-3 mls per gallon, for micro/grow/bloom and I was doing nute water, fresh water, nute water, fresh water, basically feeding every other watering. I was following this nute chart that was completely underfeeding her until I asked for help in another post, then recently bought a tds meter to read ppms and going based off of ppm chart, which lead me to boost up the mls/per gallon as you see in the last 4 waterings.

She's at day 44 of flowering and I don't think that ph chart applies to soilless mixes, but the other two charts are handy, Thank you.

i would flush, and mix up a typical feed, plus cal mag.

Edit: next time around, add some dolomite lime to your soil before planting. It works wonders in keeping your ph in check. Just one less thing to worry about

Yep, and my opinion is its always good practice to flush when switching between veg and bloom anyways. That way you flush out any remaining veg nutes for flower. It gives you the closest thing you can come to a fresh start for flower. If you were 3 weeks into flower Or less I would say absolutely but being 55 days in I wouldnt. You should probably just get her through a few more weeks until you do your final flush. I dont think your in too bad of shape man. Very soon you will be at the point to flush and stop all nutes so she can live on the nutrition stored in her leaves.

I sure wouldnt feed nutes and Calmag together. Not a very good idea. Especially when theres already issues.

It looks to me like it might be over feeding with possible minor salt buildup in the soil.
I'd flush and let it dry out.

may i ask why both at once is a bad idea?

in the past i have flushed and then continued as stated with no further issue at all?

maybe im either missing something, or it isnt coming out right?

Sure man
First I wanted to let you know that I reread my response and it may have sounded like I was being a bit of a butthole. I didn't mean it that way at all and I wanted you to know that.

You should really only use Cal Mag on your water only cycle. For instance if it's time to feed the plants you nute/water then when she dries and needs the water only is when you use Cal Mag. I will admit that I used to be guilty of the same thing and it may have caused some of my problems in the past as well. But when we use our fertilizers and Cal Mag at the same time we are bombarding the plants with a whole lot of nutrition in which some of them actually compete against the others for uptake. The chances of salt buildup in the soil are much greater because of that as well. That's why many of us agree to only use Cal Mag when it is the water only portion of the week.

interesting. I have never heard that. I havent had an issue that i can recall where it was detrimental feeding nutes plus cal mag at the same time. Or maybe i did and just assumed an out of whack PH.

I will be going back to DWC for my next ones whenever i eventually decide to plant them (probably in a few months) but next soil plants i do i will moniter that. maybe do a side by side.

thanks for the info :)

It's just ph is out of whack its promix I have the same problem at about week 10 it starts to break down and cause the ph to go way down becomes super acidic . just flush it let it dry out and it should be good to go .
