What lights are recommended for when my plants are flowering

I was wondering what lights are best recommended for when my babies are entering the flowering phase

I have the standard full spectrum LED lights that have a veg and flower mode but reading thru previous forums keeping both switches on is best as more light isn't actually bad. I was wondering if I should change my lights to another type and what that light might be to get a bigger yield. On my first crop so any advice is good

Hi there and welcome.
Check the sponsors i reco ViparSpectra and Marshydro.
But so many on the market now.
True sun light leave the purple alone now i say.
Also what is the true watt of your light.
Price wise i cant see it being 5000 or 500 watt.
More wattage bigger ladies is the rule of thumb.

I totally with what Skunksa said.

And any vendor that hides the true Wattage of the light behind misleading information, is one to avoid.

ViparSpectra or Mars Hydro

By the way, our sponsors provide discounts for members and are active on here.

If your trying to do it on a budget, I can say that I've tried a ViparSpectra light (testing the P4000 right now) and the light continues to surprise and impress me. Go with one of the full spectrums, and use the discount code, and I think you'll be happy!

Depends on how much money you want to spend and what your needs are-how many plants, how big your space, etc. You can start with a little and then move up...

I currently have the @ParfactWorks HB 1500 in my flower tent but I started with just 6-60W bulbs! I have two flowering girls in there and they are doing just great but that light is for a veg stage, primarily.

I started with 1- 1000W and 60W in my flower tent but then added an additional 1000W. With 10 plants now however and a sponsorship from Mars Hydro, that is being upgraded by a much better actually amazing, @Mars Hydro FC4800 LED.

As my grow lights have progressed, even in my veg tent, you can see how the plants and their overall growth and health has improved. It seemingly happens overnight.

Like the boys said, check out the sponsors. My particular light from @Mars Hydro is on a flash sale this week and it is packaged with a tent! And as they said, sponsors have discount codes for the :420: community of growers. Good luck. Lmk if you have any questions

These are the specs of the lights if there's anyway someone might know from this to determine the actual watts from the lights I have

Nope, don’t think you can get actual draw from those secs, which makes it suspect in my book. It doesn’t give the actual wattage draw or the draw of each diode, doesn’t even specify what kind/brand of diodes used, the other issue is that it can run on 220v or 110v . What is the brand?

Doesn't have a brand. Its one I found on ebay. I suspect its an Asian mass produced item.

Something I don't plan to use as a main light source thats why I was wondering what lights would be best for the flowering stage. Something not too expensive.

This grow will payback everything i spent on it so far and then all ill need to buy is better lights and new chemicals and then itll pay for itself :)

I've attached the ebay store I found it on

@Bill284 might have some input in regards to using quality lights. Please dont just buy the light because they are cheap. New houses aren’t cheap.

They still haven't finished rebuilding my old house. Hehe glad I'm not there.
For quality at an economical price (won't start a fire) @ViparSpectra is a great company to use.
They stand behind their products.
Stay safe.

I've had a look online and out of these 3 what would you guys recommend?

It seems like the vivosun 600w is the only out of the 3 that has a built in fan
I'm leaning toward the unit farm brand as the watts are the highest of the 3

If I were you I’d go with the ViparSpectra. I’ve never heard or seen anything about the other brand anywhere. Plus they are a sponsor here so any problems you basically have them on speed dial. I own one and it is a very sturdy and beefy light. Very pleased. Bright also.
