What happened?

Woke up this morning and my favorite thread had been moved. The "Over 50 Club", I believe is the longest running one on 420. No explanation, no nothing, no respect. Us old farts don`t like unannounced changes. WHAT HAPPENED ?

This is a petition to move the "Over 50 Club" back here where it has existed for over 600 pages and since 7-8-12.

The staff is going through threads to make sure they are in the correct areas of the forums in regards to the contents. Because the Over 50 Club is generally an off topic thread, it needed to be moved to the off topic forums.

I find this to be short sighted and draconian.
Hide THE most active thread behind multiple layers
of menus for us old farts to find because we wander off topic?!!!
When you get over 50 the mind wanders, but WE ARE growers
and enjoy our mutual support.
And not just growing BeemerBill (among others) is teaching us all the time.
Is this site not here to PROMOTE cannabis awareness?
What is next submitting all replies for approval of topical relevance?
If you feel the need to move us at least make it easy to find
or does the administration feel the need to kill off curmudgeon land.

I feel we were wrongly moved. Just because not every post concerns growing, I`m sure as many do as in any other grow journal. This does not clear anything up. Makes me feel discriminated against because we wander off subject sometimes. I think every grow journal wanders off subject. So why only us old people ? You young people don`t think we contribute anything useful about growing cannabis ? We do it with a little bit of common sense and a dose of nostalgia. Read other grow journals before you condemn us to the outhouse.

Another argument. Thought this thread was about general grow subjects, not a grow journal. Does not that include other subjects ? Live long enough and you will learn the wisdom of the elders.

your wrong we are generally ON topic. we may get off every once in a while. But I have learned more about growing hints here than any journal. This is a lounge not a forum or journal. We get people posting here that never post anywhere else. And they always get a warm welcome. They will never find us in nowhere land. We all came here to learn how to grow great pot. A Lounge is just that. A place to kick back and meet people. We can post questions and opinions here that would just mess up a journal. Get your facts right. We are generally on topic and not a forum .We were in a LOUNGE.

Admin, or the powers that be. Why was my thread moved, with no answers to a simple question ?
What other thread got moved ?
Upon reading some grow journals, they are off topic as much as the "Over 50 Club" ever was, and they are GROW JOURNALS.
The "Over 50 Club" was in the "Growers Lounge", a place to relax and discuss topics.
Have learned far more about growing in the "Over 50 Club" then in ANY grow journal.
Maybe this is beating a dead horse, but I can not find any other threads that have been moved.
Have any other threads been moved ?

Hi yooper rex,

There have been several posts explaining why the Over 50 Club thread was moved posted in that thread. I apologize that it took longer than you preferred for us to get an explanation to you but it has been done. The thread was moved because the majority of it was not Cannabis related. The only place in the main forums area that we allow conversations to go off topic (as long as they don't stay there for too long) is in the grow journals area, that is why you've seen off topic conversations in some of them. The Over 50 Club thread is not journal therefore it needed to be Cannabis related.

I apologize for the inconvenience and the frustration this has caused but the thread is not going to be moved back.

Not to be beating a dead horse, but I still would appreciate an answer. What other threads have been moved ? Or do I get banned for being persistent ?

Hi yooper rex,

Threads are moved to the correct forums every day. Grow questions posted in the Introduce Yourself forum or the Growers Lounge, or in the Plant and Bud Photos forum, journals posted in the main journals area instead of Journals in Progress, and various off topic threads posted throughout the main forums. I can't name any specific titles though because there have been too many to name.
