Im just looking for a fan to cool off my 1000watt lamp. Im just curious as to what other people are using for cfm's and duct sizes...the room by the way is about 10'X7'
What cfm fan do you recomend to cool off a 1000 watt hps light?

6" ducting w/a 465cfm fan should be good enough for that space.. If you have a carbon filter you might need to add a duct booster fan - cost $50 for a 6" 160cfm unit..

Give the height next time so we can get the cubic foot of the room.
Also is the room a bedroom,closet, is it in the basement or attic. What are normal temps in this room? Does it change alot at night? it the room airconditioned? I can go on bro. More info on your side would let others give better and more accurate answers to your Qs.

alright alright.....well as of right now its got about a 6 foot ceiling height. It is in a basement where the temperture will stay around 65-70 degrees F. Im basically just looking for any idea on where i should start out from and id adjust from there ya know....but hey thanks for the replies guys keep it green.
