What causes this?

A few random leaves look like this. Anyone know why?

This is the plant you were wondering about in other threads you started? You will have to remind us again if you are using nutrients and which ones and how much and how often. And, is it soil or coco?

Check out some of the nutrient deficiencies and excesses in some of the graphics in this thread below....

Yes, same plant. It's in soil happy frog/ocean forest/perlite mix in 5 gallon fabric pots. I use GH nutes and feed every 3-4 days. Last feed was

Per Gallon
Armor Si - 2ml
Calimajic- 2ml
Micro. - 5ml
Gro - 0ml
Bloom - 7ml
**Ph 6.8

grow should be back in the mix. you should be running between ec 1.2 - 1.4 you were a wee bit heavy on n earlier by the looks.

about 1.5 ml /l micro, 1.25 ml / L grow, 1.75 ml / bloom. plant is gonna choke out the lower stuff that doesn't get penetration.

hey @4me2kn0,

You've got some splotchy interveinal chlorosis there (yellowing between leaflet veins). Possibly magnesium (Mg) deficiency, but I'm leaning more toward zinc (Zn). Keep in mind that iron (Fe), Zn, manganese (Mn) are interrelated plant nutrients affecting uptake/use of N and S (sulfur). Lack of N = yellowing. Lack of S = yellowing.

That said, the brown tip makes me think of potassium deficiency, and you are going into flower, so perhaps that's also an issue. Another thing that comes to mind is lack of nutrients causing nutrients to be stolen from the lower leaves, in which case, it makes me think of lack of N and Fe.

My overall conclusion/theory... it looks like your plant has been well fed during veg... nice deep green leaves, so plenty of N and Fe. Now well into flowering... make sure she's got sufficient P and K, and still feed enough N and Fe, but not as much as in veg. Include micro-nutrients Zn, Mn, and S.

happy growing! 🌱
