A Westmoreland man made a discovery while hunting on a farm off Harrison Lane.

He came upon a campsite partially hidden in the woods where marijuana was being cultivated, according to the 18th Judicial Drug Task Force.

Task force Investigator Don Bandy said that the hunter discovered the site just before 10 a.m., Tuesday morning and notified police.

Westmoreland Police Chief Kevin Nation, the Sumner County Sheriff's Department and the drug task force went to the site and confiscated items used for growing and cultivating marijuana plants.

A tent, partially hidden by a rise of dirt and plants, was tied to some trees. Piled-up trees were used to help hide the marijuana plants and other equipment used in the operation, Bandy said.

No arrests have been made.
