Please join me in welcoming our new sponsor, Doggett & Simpson (D&S), to our mission of spreading Cannabis Awareness to the world.

Without the support of sponsors such as these we would not be able to continue operating a complicated site such as this for very long. If you appreciate all of the free information and friendship on this site, we ask that you also help our mission by supporting the sponsors who make this possible.

Introduction
At Doggett & Simpson (D&S), their number one priority is to support the therapeutic cannabis grower and to provide them with what they need to grow the best plants for their patients. This easy to use award winning fertilizer delivers on that promise.

D&S created the Growology System to provide medical marijuana growers with an easy-to-use family of products that give plants the specific nutrients they need at each phase of the growing cycle. Three simple steps provide exactly what plants need, exactly when they need it. D&S takes your dedication to therapeutic cannabis seriously, and they want to help you grow plants with great medicinal benefit.

Quality Ingredients for the Medical Market
The Growology System nutrients are a result of their desire to offer you a superior product that's easy to use and can produce excellent results. The founders of this company are drawing on years of experience in water-soluble plant nutrition research. They are using the most sensible and agronomically viable combination of organic and non-organic ingredients - ingredients known to improve a grower's yield by bringing each plant to its realistic healthy maximum.

On their website, D&S make special note of their commitment to a process whereby every ingredient is thoroughly tested, has a long history of proven results and is completely safe for therapeutic applications. Among these tested ingredients are mycorrhizae, an organic fungus that increases a plant's root mass and enhances its uptake of nutrients; magnesium for chlorophyll production and to facilitate photosynthesis; and both sulfated and chelated minor elements to provide plants with the minerals they need to thrive. The Growology System family of products enables your plants to grow stronger which, in turn, ensures that they are better able to resist pests.

Here at 420 Magazine, we understand that some of the people therapeutic cannabis is grown for may have compromised immune systems or other conditions that require plants to be of the very highest quality and purity. In developing this product, D&S has assured us that they have given every consideration to the health and safety of the end user.

This is only my second MMJ grow so I know I'm new to this, but I have been an avid gardener for 20+ years now. I have never had any plant look this healthy and grow this vigorous. My plants are only about a month old at the moment. I can't wait to see what they are going to look like in a couple more months. :bravo:

Thanks everyone! We are very, very happy to partner with 420magazine to spread MMJ awareness and help as many people as possible to grow this incredibly beneficial plant we all love. If I do not get an answer here from the sponsor, I will email them.

Can you clarify the ideal starting soil? Would it be a promix hp? Promix hp + worm castings? Or a more amended soil like fox farms? Once a grow is completed, can you flush the soil and reuse it? Have you done any tests with reused soils?

Hi, Billyjack -

Your best bet is any soil or soilless medium that is unfortified - no nutrients added to it. There are a lot available, and ProMix (hp and others) is a good one. ProMix hp has one strain of mycorrhizae added to it, but you can still use our Growology Step 1 product with it - Step 1 contains four strains, including the one that ProMix adds. But any unfortified medium will be fine. Growology provides your plants with everything they need, so there's no reason to add worm castings and you definitely want to avoid "hot" amended soils. Simpler (and cheaper) is better as far as we're concerned.

Step 1 also contains humates, which will enhance your soil, so you could probably get decent results if you flush and reuse (and add Step 1 again to the next grow), but compared to other soil options, the unfortified ones are less expensive, so you don't really have to. Let us know if you have any other questions and please also keep us posted on your results. Thanks for asking!

John

PS Love your handle if it's a reference to the 70s movies I loved as a kid...

John,

Thanks again for getting back to me and just to let you know, I can't send you emails to the doggett&simpson.com addresses either, it came back to me undelivered. Hope this isn't anything serious? If I get time and remember I may call ATT next week and ask what's wrong. Just thought I'd let you know.

Thanks, Chin - I'm looking into it on my end, too, just to be on the safe side. We haven't had any issues sending or receiving emails at all; what was going on with your address was really weird. And now it gets even weirder, because at least we were getting your emails; we just couldn't respond. But now we're not even getting yours?? I'm looking into it. If you ever want to get in touch with us, though, remember you can always call - 401-742-2055. Thanks for the heads up.
