Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

How big is your aloe plant thats growing with your cannabis?
There are many aloe plants in that pot. I'd say they are anywhere from 3"-20" tall. Most of the pot is aloe because we never intended on having the surprise DC plant in there. Lol!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Sounds like you have more than us currently. Lol!! Tbh, I did forget we have a Chemdog growing. Lol! I think I pay more attention to what we have going that I like. We had some street Chemdog before we started growing that wasn't tasty for me. I know ours will out perform that street crap any day! So, maybe I should get excited about that one. Lol!

Ever since the bugs came, I have lost my mojo for the plants. I can't get myself to do much in there. Soon though they will be slain and I can find my happy spot in the garden again.

Damn, you guys got bugs too? Sorry to hear that. I have been battling mine for a month. Plants got so big before I knew I had em, its been a bitch to get rid of them completely. Slowed my grow down almost a month. Goodluck with getting rid of yours!

Thats cool.....I told Ms Stank we might have to add an aloe plant to our next grow just to experiment. I am a firm believer that companion planting is the way to go if you can. I love it for my outdoor veggie garden (beans and corn are amazing together), but haven't gotten around to expanding that approach into my cannabis growing. Will start paying more attention to what goes well with cannabis.

We have had them for a while. We thought we had them gone, but I believe when we went to Jamaica is when they came back with a fierceness. We have done a pretty good job of keeping them minimized, but after we harvest all.of our plants, we will bomb for them and clean the grow areas to ensure they all finally die. I'm so tired of seeing them. It makes me feel like it's never going to end. We tried bombing while we had plants growing, but that didn't kill them all, just slowed them. The bomb said it was safe for plants, so that's good. Plus we wash our buds really well, so we weren't worried about the chemicals.

Have a nice day man.

Aloe works very well. I believe Sue uses clover as companion plants also, or at least I think she did. Lol

Thats kind of how I started feeling too. I caught them a little late as I wasn't paying as much attention as I normally do. Once I realized I had em, the plants were already huge. Never seemed I could get rid of all them. It always seemed like one plant would show small signs and I would do more spraying and root drenching. I had to get a good solid hold fighting them so I could get the girls into their scrog. Finally got them into the scrog last night. I will continue with root drenches for at least 2 more applications. Can't really do anymore spraying. If I see any signs of them starting to make a comeback, I will pick up an order of predator mites and hope they can get me through to the harvest. It was demoralizing to pluck a couple leaves and think you are going to see nothing but nice healthy plant leaves and you end up seeing a freaking mite moving and eating away, or you see a couple new eggs. I hope I never have to deal with these bastages again.

Do you happen to use Docs DBHBB kit?

No I am growing in my own soil. I grew in KindSoil for my first grow and then started working on my own soil when I realized how much I loved growing cannabis. Its a work in progress but I am very pleased so far with what I have seen. I will be flipping to flower in the next few days on the main tent so I will see how it does in flower. Its something I will tweek as I finish different grows and different strains.

The reason I asked is because doc has a leaf wash that is really good at keeping the mites at bay during flower. That's when they come with a vengeance. I believe it can be used almost up until harvest. Nis knows for sure how late in flower. I can't recall at the moment.

Very nice! Yeah I'd be skeptical of that yield for indoor but time will tell. Just curious.
I believe they factor their yield by running multiple plants in a SOG. So if we get close to pound with each of the plants it will be amazing. With their size and the amount of tops they have, it'll be close.

Hope so! Because I have everything I need to completely replicate your experiment, and if the predictions are true, then..well let's just say there will be a surge of HB cannabis in west Michigan

I have been hitting them with a bit of everything it seems. I heard they can develop a resistance if you use the same thing over and over. So ever 4 or 5 days I do a major spraying with either SNS-217, SM-90, Neem Oil, or AzaMax. On the days in between the major sprayings, I do a spray with water and rubbing alcohol at a 9-1 ratio. I have been doing the root drenching with AzaMax as well about every 10 days. I just couldn't wait any longer to get them in scrog. I need to flower them out before the xmas holiday and family comes to visit. Apparently its not ok to request they find billeting elsewhere so you can continue to use the spare bedroom as the grow room. So the grow needs to be done and harvest complete by then and these are 10-11 week strains so not much remaining time to play with.

Good morning to you Canna, and Nis, just read the article on the antibiotic resistant bacteria, pretty amazing, I will have to show this to my wife, thanks for posting. To you have a real good recipe for butter and tastey recipe for brownies made from the same butter. Think I will try my hand at some edibles this grow. I am looking for a tastey gummy recipe as well. Thanks you guys, you freakin' rock. Hope you are getting rid of those damn mites for good this time.:circle-of-love:

Ok, for the butter, we have used a rice warmer (small croc pot). The ratio we use is 1 stick of butter (8 TBSP) to 1/4 oz of flower, and probably 1-2 C. Water. Put all the ingredients into the warmer in the low setting for 4-6 hrs.
Strain the flower out using cheesecloth or a fine micron filter bag. Put the liquid in a container with a lid and let it set up in the fridge over night. In the morning, the butter will have solidified at the too of the water. Remove the butter, and dump the water. The oil and the butter have already bonded together so the water is just waste.

As for the brownie recipe. Get a box mix and replace the oil with the butter, then follow the rest of the recipe. Lol!

Now, there is the left over plant matter. You can de-stem it and add it to the brownies. If you chose to do that, I'd add an extra egg so the marijuana won't make the brownies dry. You can also just discard it. Personally, I add it to the brownies so no cannabinoid is left behind. Lol! Isn't that funny? We have more than enough product to get us by, but we chose not to be wasteful. We did all the work to grow it, so we like to use as much of it as possible.

Thanks for coming here to ask. I like talking about edibles. That's my area. Nis does such a good job at growing, and I get to make yummy things with it. Yay!

I'll do another post for the gummies, I've got a few things to do around the house first though. Have a great day, and I'm truly thankful you asked.

Re: Welcome All My Friends To The Show That Never Ends - Canna M & Nismo12 Team Up!

Alright! I have a few mins to post this recipe.

2 ounces marijuana
1 bottle of high proof grain alcohol
4- 3 oz pkgs flavored gelatin (jello)
10-7 gram pkgs unflavored gelatin
1 c. Juice (no citrus)
1/4 c. Honey
1 tsp citric acid
1 tsp flavor extract (we use lemon)

In the MB2, I add the de-stemmed marijuana and the alcohol. I push the tincture button (4hrs at 160°).

Then after the 4 hrs is up, I strain the liquid from the flower into a glass Pyrex bowl. We have an electric skillet with sides. I add an inch or so of water to that, then put the Pyrex bowl in it. Use that method to evaporate off the alcohol. Be sure to stir.

While that is going, I take all the other Ingredients, except the flavor extract, and mix them together to make sure the gelatin blossoms. Set that aside.

When the alcohol is evaporated I add the flavor to the oil and mix it. Then I add the gelatin mix and stir until it melts. Now it's ready to go into the molds. I like a silicon beaker with a pour spout to put it into the greased molds. I spray them with cooking spray. Then after its all in the molds, let it set in the fridge overnight, or at least a half hour. Lol! Overnight works the best, but sometimes you just can't wait! Lol!

I hope this is clear as mud for you. Lol!! If you have any more questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
