Weed dried too fast! Help please!

Well here is the problem.. I cut down my plants 2 nights ago and I hung them after trimming. Yesterday was good but today I had to raise the temp up slightly because it was -7C outside. Well I raised it too much and the room was at +22C all day.. which in turn dried out the bud too much. From advise of a friend I took them off the strings and threw it all in garbage bags to “sweat” overnight... I also added 4 boveda packs to each bag to help re hydrate.. will I be able to come back with this or is it crispy for good..? Thank you!

Also... my humidity dropped way too low due to the dry cold outside intake. It was around 38 RH for 36 hrs

You might be alright there's still alot of moisture in the stem to draw from you might think it's crisp but once you jar or bag it will rehydrate

I do believe the same. Cause even it was very dry the stems hold lot more water and from what I heard water were going from stems to leaves and buds when hang down drying

Jarred it today, the three plants came out to 1.2lbs, I know this isnoff the original topic but should I leave the jars open for a bit if the humidity goes past 62? I am using bovida 62’s in there

The Bovedas will regulate your humidity back to 62, if it’s over or under once they are sufficiently dry. I would burp them daily for a while. I can tell by the smell when I open them when to stop. Put a little hygrometer into the jar if you aren’t sure. Some of the jars will take longer than the others. Burping is just a slowed down drying process.

ouch... as long as there is still some moisture in the core you can recover... follow your friend's advice. Once you get the RH of the bud down to 59 even once, curing is done... and no power on earth can restart it.
this is a little inthe future but at what RH is curing completely done? 62%? i just want to know how to use the boveda packs i have coming when i use them after flowering

curing occurs in the range between 65RH and 59RH. The longer you can keep it in that range, the more complete of a cure you can achieve. After 2 or 3 months at 62, for long term storage and stability, I switch to Boveda 58s.
