YES! I’ve been meaning to ask about that since it disappeared. It comes up semi-regularly, and then I forget to ask about it... until the next time I cant remember whose ‘room’ I’m in. LOL!

Hey - Have you noticed that it now defaults to “newest to oldest”?

That’s a big step forward for that search “experience” actually, very helpful :thanks:

Not when I do it. Just searched my thread for "salt" and got Feb 2018, Apr 2019, Jan 2019...
 
Oh ok... i’ll Try again and see. I thought I’d been noticing it consistently the last week or so. :hmmmm:
 
Ok here’s the thing. If you search within thread for just a username, no search terms (effectively looking for every post by a certain member), it lands in date order with the most recent first. If you put a search term (with it without a username), the results are seemingly random in order, dates-wise.

So maybe it’s always been like that ... Makes it clear that it is at least possible to have that as the default so hopefully we’ll get there eventually :)

How does one get that to work on a cell phone (Android OS, Chrome web browser)? Or is it not included in the mobile version of the website?
 
Yeah... that’s true. It works on my iPad version, but not the iPhone. I think it used to be on the iPhone in landscape mode, maybe I misremember that...
 
The header " Your threads", "Threads with your posts", "Unanswered threads", "Watched threads" does not appear when in "Watched threads." This header appears when in the other three. Can this be added to "Watched threads?" These are the four places I spend the most time.
 
I've wondered why "New posts" isn't included in that. I guess it's "part of its own set," but I often use that on conjunction with "Unanswered..." and "Watched..."
 
man, i was looking at the emojis today and i couldn't find the scientist pouring beakers into each other emoji lol.
this would be a nice and unique addition maybe.
 
While I'm still asking (for @420 of course) that we add an "Order by date" option to be in the quick search box (that's the only place "Search this thread" is an choice), I'd like to request something besides "praying hands" for the "Thanks" emoji on posts! I liked the original one better.

@Marc Ocean did they add this in the last update?
 
Our search plugin was just updated, was that connected to this request @Marc Ocean or is what they want from the forum developer only?

I'm bumping this again!

Also, any chance we can get the "Attach files" option in the PM's? I would like to be able to send an image in a PM without having to upload it to the gallery and be google-indexed.

The software developer has not updated that feature for searches yet, however we are investigating to see if we can somehow tweak it. I wonder if we removed images from the search, if that would help.

As for attachments in pms, we cannot see what is being attached, so our system could be used for illegal transactions and federal crimes, opening us all up to federal investigations. For this reason, we decided not to turn them on.
