My outdoor keeps getting ravaged by these little a-holes. I have tried to safe catepiller killer and just is not full proof. All it takes is a few and man can they do some damage. So they get born from the moths laying eggs on the leaves and I was thinking of trying to cover them with screen some how. Any of you guys fight these pests out their?

I use BT, Bacillus Thurengesis (sp).

I get the concentrate, but many products have it in there. Lowes, HD, Wally world and just about any garden shop. Just read the label.

No, it is not a preventative. It is a naturally occurring bacillus. The caterpillars eat it, it locks up their gut and they starve to death.

It's not a poison per se, but it is effective. Of course, you have to spray it on your plants and the worms will have to nibble some, but they won't nibble much. LOL

Not harmful to anything but caterpillars, so no worries there. It also saves my tomato plants from horned worms, those huge green things that seem to be able to eat half a plant in 10 min or so. LOL
