Wal-Mart Nutes

I have two plants growing in soil in my dresser under 2 42 watt cfl's, 2 13 watt cfl's and 2 20 watt flouro tubes they are both 16 days into flowering and have received nothing but tap water. They are finally starting to show symptoms of nutrient deficiency (slightly droopy yellowing leaves) but I have no garden stores in my area and ordering online is not an option. I was wondering if theres anything at a Wal-Mart, Home Depot type store I could pick up. Oh and while I was high last night trying to come up with a remedy I remembered last time I was in my attic there was bat shit everywhere but I quickly dismissed the idea of using this.

You bet. Fish Emulsion is great for vegetative growth, and in lower doses while flowering. Alaska MorBloom is good for flowering. Both should be available locally. You might also find liquid seaweed or something similar, which is great all the time.

in the past i used an african violet food from walmart that i liked. now i mostly use guano. maybe your attic is something to think about. guano is not cheap. if you were to try and get some of it you might want to use a mask so as not to inhale the dust. it also might need to decompose more before you use it. perhaps someone knows more about harvesting guano.

I would not use the "home-harvested" bat guano for 2 reasons.

1. We have no idea what the NPK ratio of that bat guano is.

2. We have no idea how old that bat guano is or for that matter what else is in it.

I would buy some simple fish emulsion as suggested above. Tomato ferts. high in Phosphorus are also good for flowering. :peace:

Thanks for all the quick replies. I went to Wal-Mart last night and when I went into the garden section all there was was christmas decorations WTF, so i just got back from Lowes and got my self some of that african violet concentrate thats 8-14-9, sounds good for flowering, and some basic organic soil and some worm castings for my new plants.

Hahahahaha man I feel ya. Even the home and garden places are stocked with xmas garbage all ready. Grabbed me some AV nutes from Lowes today plus some good ol eco garden potsoil. I seen the worm casting on the shelf... like 1 or 2 bottles I thought they would keep that stuff stocked for the survival gardener :laughtwo:

check all garden stores, even if they don't sound as if they would have what you (we) want. where i live, there is a company who is mainly known for fertilizing lawns and selling plants through their greenhouse. however, they do have a retail shop. they have one 10 foot section of shelves that might as well have a big sign saying "mj growers come here". this section has guano, worm casings, liquid sedaweed, cloning liquids, organic ferts etc. this section also is where i got my moisture meter and my ph meter. virtually every product that i have heard of on this site and others is right there. and i could almost walk there. guess i'm lucky, but don't rule out anyone without checking. unfortunately this store is not a chain. it is just a small privately owned one store operation.

Good luck finding any stores like that in Eastern MA Budsmker, though if you are in the western part, I am north of boson and having the same trouble finding nutes for my first grow, going to revisit Lowes and HD and look into the ones mentioned above..will post it once i get it going I am sure I will need advice as I f it up!
