A marijuana company applied for a permit application to open a marijuana retail shop on the Moscow-Pullman Highway, possibly making it the fifth shop in the Pullman area, the Whitman County Planning Division staff said.
The company, Premium Roast LLC, plans to open the shop at the old Crossroads Nursery at the northeast corner of Airport Road and State Route 270, within a mile of the Idaho border. There is one shop already on the highway and three within Pullman city limits.
Premium Roast LLC applied for a conditional use permit application because of its location in the agricultural district. After reviewing the application, the planning division determined the proposal complied with Washington's Environmental Policy Act.
The Whitman County Board of Adjustment will consider the application at a public hearing at 7 p.m. on Oct. 6 in the Public Service Building in Colfax.
