Helena - Organizers who are asking voters to overturn Montana's medical marijuana law are now campaigning against a ballot initiative that seeks to roll back restrictions.
Safe Montana purchased billboards in several Montana cities, including Helena, Missoula, and Billings that read: "Vote no i-182. No pot shops."
If passed, the initiative would allow providers to have more than three clients, doctors to prescribe to more than 25 patients, and expand what conditions medical cannabis can be recommended for.
Supporters said the law is about creating a workable medical marijuana program, and some worry the billboards could confuse voters making them incorrectly associate the measure with recreational marijuana.
