Visualize Whirrled Peas: A Perpetual Garden By 013

Please pardon the intrusion, maybe you and/or your followers might be interested :Namaste:

Sorry to hear about hat happened to your plants, 013- I can sorta relate, except my experience was
3 of 3 plants ending up male after 5 or 6 weeks vegging...either way, It's a gut punch...
Hopefully, your next grow will be nothing but smooooth sailing!

i have a zapper also comes on lights out 15 mins , and comes on for 3 hours in the day , another reason i love me autoflower they never hermie on me
you can see in these pics ,for mites and soil in my top layer of soil i add seaweed dust , rocks dust and neem cake powder , i let the top soil dry quicker , i always get mites and never got any that run
you can see my zapper to the left for flying ass holes
when in flower i put my mite control spray into a little hand held smaller spray bottle , it was easy just to cover the leaves without hitting buds , i got 4 grows finished even with mites before i really went to town , in veg it more easy to fix , in flower its harder

Oh what a great idea!

I will remember this for summer!

(look I’ll defs forget. Please remind me in September)

You know what Bluter you are spot on - as always!! I need a harvest. I’m going to try a hempy run and that will solve the mites at least partially if I’m reading you correctly?? I can move all the soil out of the flower room entirely and prep for a dirt run in the tent while the hempys run in the flower room. I’ve got 5 beans in rapids rooters that are popping as we speak, I’m hoping the rapid rooters will be ok in hempy?

I’m running well water drilled thru granite rock. I’ve got House & Garden Aqua Flakes A & B, a bottle of cal mag, a bottle of hydroguard. I will get some more hydrogen peroxide too. I’ve got a Blue labs pen ph up & ph down. The Aqua Flakes says 2 to 15 mil per gallon. I’m hoping I can start with the Aqua Flakes that are on hand and I’ll get some MC ordered pronto. I’ve got other crap like liquid kelp & stout MSA

I will rinse up a batch of perlite, I’ve got the regular small size plus a gallon or two of the chunky stuff. I’m gonna revisit your journal. Does H202 effectively nuke everything and what dosage is proper per gallon? My concern is any chance mites or eggs are in my bags of perlite?

I cruised by yours, I’m sorry to hear about your parents needing surgery. I’m circling thru Sweet Sues hempy startup and going to read yours too.

Tinkerbell, Those are nice bulbs to have.

Fair enough - Remind me in late August to remind you to get a bug zapper light bulb in September? Who am i kidding I will forget too
LOLLINGGGGG!

Will do :D

I’m sorry you’ve had shit luck.

Im sending you pest free vibes.

:)

Hey sorry to hear about the pests, but I to am thinking about going hempy bucket, I am limping across the finish line this run, I was slacking on the watering and almost lost 2, I’m also gonna switch up the times my lights r on so I can get in there when I get home from work, so I’m gonna try hempys with a gravity fed drip line, now I just gotta figure out how to build it all, I’m gonna have to check out those mentioned threads

Hey Storm! Good to see you man. Thanks for that. Yeah I love my soil but right now I need to get something going that’s both fast and stable so I’m hoping I can do this hempy run while I toss the old soil and switch over to the new soil then I need get the worms, beetles and predator mite colonies started.

Bluter is really skilled, his page 1 references Sweet Sues older hempy journal so I’m slamming pages down over there then I plan to soak up both Bluters work and Multivortex too. This sucks a ton since I lost everything that had been vegging since late Deceember. But we will rebuild and learn new stuff to boot.

you've just had a couple hiccups in the soil. hempy is not oblivious to pest issues either. i've battled gnats, mites, and all kind of stuff. hempy is resistant, but not immune by any stretch.

i wouldn't totally abandon the soil if you've gotten accustomed to it. we just have to identify the issues sooner and get a handle on it quicker. if you have a hemp mite infestation, that needs to be cleared first, as it will linger until you get complacent, then come roaring back.

Yeah I like soil and hydro probably moves a little too fast for me. But I will study hard to get on board, plus if I can roll with hempy while I get the soil issues worked out then thats the ticket. I had 5 one gallon jars of bud and one gallon jar of cobs, no freshies or cured bud left. I’m down to the cobs now so yeah total dankruptcy is approaching fast.

My plan is to move all the soil stuff out, deep clean and use bleach water then nuke with bug bombs and No Pest Strips and then run with hempy. My new soil is cooked and stored in 32 gallon plastic trash cans in a remote spot so I may start the worms and predator colonies up there first.

Yes sir, I rolled some up in corn husks others were pressed with a bench vise and wrapped in foil. Since it takes a while to ferment & cure it’s like a weed savings bank, so glad I made these last year. It does mute down the terps but that also takes the harshness out and delivers a very smooth smoke

Same high for me, but versatile in a funky way, you can chew them or torch them, heck you can even squish them. It calls for fresh uncured bud, I guess because they are sweated then unwrapped and dried to the touch and then rewrapped it minimizes air which is needed for mold to grow, but heck the thinking part is way above my pay grade. You just gotta watch the numbers and check it at regular intervals. Plus once the fresh bud or cured bud is gone it’s nice to go back and say yup here is that Panama from 2 years ago or whatever

Let’s see which strain(s) I can kill next....

Two Blue Dreams hatched in rapid rooters on March 11. A fresh batch of seedling starter mix was seared to tasty perfection on a gas grill in a foil lined pouch. The rapid rooters were transferred to the starter mix and watered in on March 17th.

Next we have a trio of lovelies also in rapid rooters. An Amnesia, a Blue Dream and a Pakistan Valley birthed on March 18th. The sisters will be grown in hempy format. We start with premium select free range grass fed perlite (none of that commercial hormone fed shit - mind you) a mix of 2/3rd standard size and 1/3rd chunky size marinated in a light bleach water au jus, tripled rinsed with tepid water and served up in dark recycled hydrogen peroxide containers featuring a weep hole at the appropriate spacing to create a lower reservoir. They were transplanted into the dark sided hempy homes and watered in with a light dose of seed starter and root enhancer liquid fert on the evening of March 19th.

Special shout out - this hempy project is undertaken with guidance from Bluter. I’ve dug 44 pages into Bluters Happy Home for Hilarious Hempsters journal and am excited to learn new skills. A hearty thank you, sir!

Since mites rendered a scorched earth policy on my indoor garden the old soils get tossed, I am drawing on tips gleaned from Nunyabiz to re-tool the new batch of LOS with colonies of worms, rove beetles and predator mites.

The 4X4 tent was emptied, vacuumed and rinsed down with a bleach water solution, then dried with paper towels, lights are on and fans are cranked to dry out any residual moisture. The seedlings were started with a single cfl bulb and will be upgraded to a 315 watt ceramic metal halide soon.

The 12 X 12 flower room will have all soil containers removed, cleaned, moped with bleach water and nuked with a couple of bug bombs.

Pics to follow.... Lets get this party started!
