A marijuana plant that sat in plain view at the Ville Platte City Marshall's Office will be moved into storage.
A K-A-T-C-T-V camera caught the plant sitting in a window at the office, but minutes later it disappeared.
City Marshall Eddie Soileau says the plant was evidence turned in by someone who found it on their property.
The plant was in the window so it could get some sunlight and stay alive, Soileau says, adding officers want to use it to educate the public on the differences between marijuana plants and tomato plants.
