Has anyone heard of planting venus fly traps or other carnivorous plants with their garden? I was at a buddies and saw his fly trap and thought hmmm that would be great if it would eat gnats and other pests. Any info as to the living conditions of these guys would be cool.
These plants like shade and moisture and warmth, and love a grow room. I used a slightly different plant, a Sundew, and it thrived. They work great for gnats, which by the way are a sign of an over-watered medium, so have a dual purpose. Just make sure it is in it's own pot.
