Ventilation

This a continued conversation with @carcass , I just couldn't add photos. The vent fan is blowing into the tent, the open window has a fan blowing cool air into the tent and of course the hurricane fan just moves air around. If I turn on the vent fan it puts positive pressure but sucks from inside the shed which I'm getting close to a controlled environment.

That fan on top should be pulling air out of the tent-if it's blowing "in",you need to turn it over-the bottom fan should blow in,and the top vent fan should suck out-that way you'll have a constant supply of fresh air coming into the tent,which is what the plants like,and a good portion of the heat will also be sucked out.
**edit-if the vent fan is strong enough,you may not even need a fan blowing "in",unless it starts to get too hot in there

Ok, didn't know I started 2 threads. Ok, if it starts getting too hot in the shed, I was thinking about hooking it up to this exhaust fan to evacuate the heat out of the shed. Worked for the flower tent. I'm thinking the air conditioner will keep it cool enough in the shed for the babies. I'm getting real close to having a controlled environment which I found out is very important lol. Insulating the garage door on the west end of the shed is my next project because when the sun sets it warms up on that end of the shed. Thanks again for your advice and suggestions.

Hi. Do you have a filter attached to that top fan that is venting out? If not, you will have an issue with odor at some point.

Not worrying about odor yet, its the ventilation in the babies tent, they dont smell too bad and the other flower tent it vented outside without a filter. I'm going to monitor the smell, its legal to grow my own in Oklahoma and we will see if the neighbors complain then I might do a filter.

Ah... a fellow garage grower, i converted mine recently and just had my first battle with the heat. I thought the metal door would work as a heatsink... it didn't lol, i had to cut a hole in the roof and vent that way in the end (pics in my journal).
I did what you are planning and heavily insulated the door with celotex and rockwool.

i use to do pottery but my elbow dislocated and i hadn't done it in over 15 years so were converting over to a grow shed. its 12' x 24' detached shed in my backyard. im slowly moving everybody's else's shit out. you would be surprised when you you tell people ( kids and their friends ) that they have a week or 2 then they can pick their shit up at the curb how fast they at least come look if they want anything. my motto is if i haven't used it in 6 mo to a year i must not need it anymore. i'm a borderline horded, use to work picking up trash for a living, and its 1 mans trash is another mans treasure lol. hard for me to throw anything away. first time grower and had no idea what i was getting into. I tried to go cheap but ended up re-doing a lot of stuff. now my go big or go home mentality is getting me better results. Tents, fans, potts, clones vs seeds bla bla bla. I'm learning and having fun now but in the beginning i was NOT!!! Getting a nice setup that i don't mind hanging out in the shed and pittaling around. my kid told me i wasn't allowed to get stoned and mess with stuff lol. I'm all ears when it comes to advice, so chime in anytime you want.

I can imagine how much stuff you had to shift... took me a year of just moving my own things around to complete the garage, that and i`m a tight bastard, only used kit i scrounged on site (luckily i work in construction)

Will the hydrogen peroxide hurt my plants? I've been applying the solution 2x a day and there seems to be a residue on the plants. But I don't see any mildew.

No ,the peroxide won't hurt them-the residue may be from the water you're mixing it with-water spots?
If the mildew seems to be going away,you could probably cut the spraying down to once a day.

Check. We do have hard water here in Oklahoma, RO system is on the wish list lol
