I took it upon myself to dissolve the remains of my grinder, as it was getting thick and making it harder to use. I poured 70% isopropyl alcohol, and the residue dissolved readily. However, I am concerned about impurity issues with the solvent. Are my concerns well founded?
no isopropyl is very pure, I use 90% for solvent purposes (cleaning griders and bongs, pipes) as it evaporates more readily. Its pure but you dont want to smoke it, so make sure it is evaporated before using whatever you cleaned.
