Portland, OR. - Stoudamire is traded by Toronto with Carlos Rogers and Walt Williams to Portland for Kenny Anderson, Gary Trent, Alvin Williams and two first-round draft picks, one second-round pick and cash.

Feb. 23, 2002: After responding to a burglar alarm at Stoudamire's Lake Oswego residence, police enter through an open door and find more than a pound of marijuana. Fifteen miles away at the Rose Garden, Stoudamire is scoring 24 points with 11 assists against Denver.

April 15, 2002: Six days before the playoffs, Stoudamire is informed he is being investigated for felony drug possession as a result of the February search. The investigation weighs on Stoudamire, who shoots 5 of 22 from the field while the Blazers are swept in the first round of the playoffs in three games by the Los Angeles Lakers.

May 8, 2002: Stoudamire is charged with one count of felony drug possession. Six days later, he enters a not guilty plea in Clackamas County Circuit Court.

Nov. 15, 2002: Stoudamire is told by coach Maurice Cheeks he no longer is the Blazers' starting point guard. As it turns out, it is more than just a demotion: Stoudamire plays sporadically the rest of the season, including 23 games in which he is benched for the entire game.

Nov. 22, 2002: Stoudamire and Rasheed Wallace are cited for marijuana possession when Stoudamire's Hummer, in which they are passengers, is stopped for speeding on Interstate 5 near Chehalis, Wash., on the way back from a game in Seattle. Marijuana is found in the vehicle.

Dec. 12, 2002: Stoudamire donates $250,000 to the Portland Interscholastic League to help save spring sports.

March 20, 2003: Stoudamire is given 12 months' probation and ordered to complete alcohol/drug rehabilitation school after appearing in Lewis County District Court for marijuana possession charges stemming from the Nov. 22 incident.

July 3, 2003: Stoudamire is cited for marijuana possession at Tucson (Ariz.) International Airport after marijuana wrapped in tinfoil in his pant leg sets off airport metal detectors as he prepares to board a flight to New Orleans. He still was on probation from the Washington case at the time of his arrest.

July 7, 2003: Blazers President Steve Patterson fines Stoudamire $250,000 and suspends him indefinitely.

Oct. 1, 2003: After undergoing voluntary drug rehabilitation in Houston over the summer, Stoudamire is reinstated by the Blazers and his $250,000 fine is dedicated to Portland's Albina Head Start program. Stoudamire also pledges $100,000 to Head Start.

March 5, 2004: Stoudamire makes good on a promise to John Canzano, a columnist at The Oregonian, and takes a surprise drug test after a practice. With Cheeks as a witness, Stoudamire passes the drug test.

Dec. 17, 2004: Before a game in Atlanta, Stoudamire is stripped of his starting position by Cheeks on the heels of a December shooting slump (21 of 80). "I'm not going to sit here and cry about it," Stoudamire says. "I ain't no quitter."

Jan. 14, 2005: After regaining his starting job four days earlier, Stoudamire scores a franchise-record 54 points at New Orleans, breaking Geoff Petrie's mark of 51 set in 1973. Stoudamire makes 20 of 32 shots, including a franchise-record-tying eight three-pointers.

March 16, 2005: An Oregon Court of Appeals decision lets stand a lower court ruling that marijuana found in Stoudamire's home in February 2002 was the result of an illegal search. Unless the Oregon Supreme Court reverses, Clackamas County prosecutors will have to drop drug possession charges against Stoudamire.

April 6, 2005: Stoudamire has his second triple double as a Blazer, finishing with 13 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists in a loss to Golden State.
