A Border Patrol agent accused of smuggling marijuana is out of jail.
Earlier this month Agent Michael Atondo was arrested after 2 other Yuma Sector agents discovered nearly 750 pounds of marijuana in his Border Patrol truck.
The U.S. Attorney assigned to Atondo's case had argued the agent could be a flight risk and should not be released, but a judge disagreed, releasing Atondo without bond until his trial begins.
So far no trial date has been set.
