UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GSC

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Hey Uncle. Great update of flower room. The canopy is so even & dense. A bountiful harvest looming. Everything seems perfect. Really nice work.

Ever consider CA? Seems more leaving than arriving here these days. I mean in general....not growers. Legalization expected in 2016 election.

:Namaste:

Thanks for the compliment buddy.
I've actually been checking real estate listings in areas such as Norcal, Oregon, Colorado, Washington, Montana, North Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee, etc, over the past couple of months just to get an idea of the price points and types of properties that are on offer in different areas of the country.
I've been getting the itch to move back home in a really bad way but where I end up when I go back is anyone's guess at this point.

Cali is definitely on my top 5 list but after following the water shortage situation that Ca has been experiencing over the years I'm wondering if I'd have to BYOW (bring my own water) if I'd decide to settle down there.

When I do finally make my way back to the US I'd like to buy a bike and spend a month or two bouncing around different areas across the country visiting with some of my 420mag friends and looking for that special place that calls out to me.
Anything is possible really. Who knows, if the laws change sooner than I expect I may even end up going full circle and settling down somewhere near my childhood home along the Gulf Coast. LOL!!

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Come to Colorado! Weed love to have you! Water not a real issue, except some stupid old law preventing people from collecting rainwater, altitude is perfect for resin production, summer weather is great for outdoor grows, and unlike Cali we are already legal. I hope Cali and Florida get on board in 2016 but it's still iffy and even if it does pass, it will take years to catch up to where Colorado is already as far as getting all the pieces into place (CA is much bigger than CO so harder to get everyone to agree on issues).

I'm biased. I have travelled the world and lived in several states to include Cali and Florida. I miss the beach but Colorado is the place I decided to call home. You can smell freedom here and it smells like weed. I'm thinking next year I'm just going to start planting my extra clones everywhere across the state like Johhny Appleseed.

I spent some time there when I was younger doing a bit of hiking, rock climbing, and mountain biking and fell in love with the place.
The sheer beauty of the Continental Divide area along with the endless list of outdoor activities on offer would be right up my alley.
All of this coupled with the legalization progress that has been made definitely has me feeling the pull towards Colorado.

I've been trying my best to keep this journal focused on the girls that are in bloom but the new batch of youngsters are looking so green and healthy I feel like I'd be holding out if I didn't share a pic of these little green beauties.

thumb_IMG_2040_1024.jpg

Jack Herer - Sensi
Fruity Juice - Sensi
Grape Ape - Apothocary
Grape Stomper OG - Gage Green Group
Emerald Jack - Emerald Triangle
Lemon Diesel - Emerald Triangle
Sour Lemon OG - Emerald Triangle
Blueberry Headband - Emerald Triangle
Cherry OG - Emerald Triangle
Chocolate Mint OG - Humbolt Seed Co.
Amherst Sour Diesel - Humbolt Seed Co.
Blue Dream - Humbolt Seed Co.
Strawberry Banana - DNA Genetics
Tangie - DNA Genetics
24K Gold (previously called Kosher Tangie) - DNA Genetics
DJ's Gold - DNA Genetics
Qleaner - TGA

Most were planted on 9/11 but there are a couple of regulars that were planted a week earlier to ensure that I had time to sex them before flower.

I wasn't planning to journal these since I figured they'd keep me busy as a one legged dog trying to cover a shit pile on a frozen pond but I'm beginning to have second thoughts.
They're all so well behaved and healthy looking they're just begging to have their pics taken while they strut their stuff. :)

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Thanks Celt.
This round has been going really well from the start. I ended up with a better than expected germination rate and things have remained on a positive note ever since.
There are a couple of slow growers that are lagging a bit behind but even the slow girls are looking healthy as Hooters waitresses!!
It seems that there are almost always one or two problem girls within a batch that will look a bit sickly and need more attention than the others but not this time.
Things seem to be going too good. I hope it's not the calm before the storm. LOL!!

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Wow. Nice batch of younglings there. Got enough different strains? I'm especially interested in the Sensi Jack Herer which everyone raves about but I don't see growing much.
California is nice. At least some of it is... Some of it is about as opposite to nice as you can get. Since I don't live there I probably don't know what I'm talking about but whenever I was hanging around northern California it seemed like every time I turned a corner I saw vicious cops kicking people's teeth in and beating helpless victims to a pulp on the street. The pulp was usually black (and red) so I suspect their hobby partially relates to dark skin color but I'm sure they'd make an exception in my case. Maybe that's just me seeing the underbelly again. The cops and I never hit it off all that great. Mainly because they are always the ones doing the hitting, Lol.
From my experience Cali- at least the north- has a lot of these guys- mean, dumb, and extremely well armed. I never spent as much time in the south (for good reason) but I doubt if the cops are nicer there. Even if weed became legal, leaving the cops with nothing left to do except happily lay around all day in the sun eating fruit and coconuts under the cannabis trees, I have a feeling they'd find an excuse to beat me up sooner or later and as you can tell I got a bit jaded about that idea and about Cali in general. I don't know if you have that same magnetic effect on cops as I do UncleC but Colorado sounds nicer- as one who has never been there. I'm on the opposite side of Canada from the Celt and he seems to have a better outdoor climate than me (not difficult to have that, Lol). Canada is also nice- though not legal yet for most people- it is changing and not that repressive.

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Afternoon guys.

WC is right about the outdoor climate here where I live, but its due to the part of the province where I live having its own micro climate. The rest of the province is very different. Here in the Valley, we are sheltered to the north, east and south by the mountains (such as they are) and to the west is the Bay of Fundy. This, on average, gives us shorter winters, longer summers and generally warmer and drier then the rest of the province. Most of NS has a grow season from about mid-June till the end of September (frost free) whereas here I could be putting plants out by the 1st of May and leave them until late October without any real fear of frost :)

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Thanks for the comp Weaselcracker.
I definitely went overboard this time around. Chalk it up to the ole' kid in a candy store syndrome. I have so many seeds just waiting to become ganja girls I couldn't help myself. :)

You've just described the entire southern US judicial system mate. Unfortunately I've had my share of minor altercations with the southern mafia, I mean the local police, and I have also ended up on the receiving end of a billy stick once.

The billy stick beat down taught me many things.
1. Billy sticks are really hard.
2. Getting hit with a billy stick really hurts.
3. Getting hit with a billy stick more than once hurts even more.
4. When I see a policeman I should treat them the same as I would a dangerous zoo animal and either hide or try to go in the opposite direction but without showing any sign of inner fear.
5. If the situation requires, run and don't look back. Run Forrest, Run!! If they begin closing in just remember the billy stick and run even faster.
6. Most police are much better at swinging a billy stick than they are at running. Those fat bastards can't run for shit.
7. I should probably live someplace else so that I don't have to depend on my running skills so much.

Since I'm not a Canadian citizen I've never really given much thought to hanging my hat in the great white north.
Long ago us Cajuns were kicked out of Nova Scotia and were forced to migrate south to the swamps and bayous of Louisiana. I really doubt if the Canadian authorities would be willing to let any of us back across the border. LOL!!

I've actually been to Canada once but it was only for a short business trip. Don't tell, but I had to sneak in under a full moon while no one was looking and did my best to hide my Cajun accent while there. :)

As luck would have it, I visited during the dead of winter so the temps and blizzards limited my sightseeing possibilities.
I did get to visit Banf National Park while I was there but many of the roads were closed due to blizzard conditions. Me being the rebel that I am I decided to ignore the severe weather warnings and drove up to Lake Louise. I wanted to drive around and see a bit more but after a couple of close calls with black ice on those windy mountain roads I decided that it would be best to turn back and bring the rental car back in one piece.

My beliefs exactly! Also- never let them see your eyes. They may be dumb but they have super keen shark-like abilities to sense a 'bad attitude'.

Should be required reading for all school children. We could print out some not-so-glossy brochures and pass them out at the school- on alternate days than the ones cops are in there handing out their own ridiculous shit, as they seem to be constantly doing in my kid's school.
+reps on that even if you don't like reps.

Hmmm- what's all this Facebook/Diggspace/Myface/Twitface/Myass stuff that comes up now? I don't likeses it....have a feeling we are stuck with it.

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Funny you should say about "not" being able to return to NS UncleC, all my family is from here but I am the odd one out. I have been a Canadian citizen since I was 13 but was actually born in the US LOL

Due to 911 gov't paranoia and changes in US law concerning identification, its near impossible for "expatriates" like myself to cross the boarder. The US gov't requires me to present a US passport to cross the boarder, but I can't get one living outside of the states because they won't mail them across the boarder LOL

Its truly comical, I can vote in US elections (not sure what the point would be) but I can't come across the boarder to do it in person LOL

I have conflicting thoughts about police and the justice system as a whole. There are good policemen and bad policemen just as any other profession. It's unfortunate that the good ones seem to be a very rare breed these days.

Part of the problem is the system itself. When the arrest and incarceration of citizens becomes a money making business instead of being a nonprofit service and check and balance for a society this is a sure sign that a justice system is broken and in dire need of a complete overhaul.

On the flip side of the coin, I do understand the situations that policemen find themselves in all too often and can sympathize with their sometimes brutal tactics.
Case in point, if I were a policemen and some dickhead spit in my face without good reason there's not a doubt in my mind that I'd beat the crap of the offending spitter. Who would be wrong in this type of situation?

You're right mate, cross border travel has become much more difficult since the 9/11 thing that's for sure.

If you have an original copy of your birth certificate you should be able to apply for a passport at any US embassy or consulate office anywhere in the world.

I've had pages added to my passports and replacement passports issued to me all while outside of the US. This can all be done at any US embassy location.

Re: UncleC's Ganja Grove - Organic Soil - LED - SOG - La Chocolat/Vanilla Kush/LSD/GS

Finding someone to vote for is always the challenge.

My philosophy is to vote for the person that I feel would be the lesser of two evils or the person that I feel will create the least amount of damage while in office.

If I were to vote for the best person for the job I would never vote because the best folks for those jobs are repulsed by politics and don't want anything to do with the government.

Yeah of course. The problem with the police enforcement thing is the same conundrum as the one with the political system. The shitstem is rotten, attracts rotten people, and rots good ones.
My distrust of cops partly comes from being beaten up a couple times, and another time having my leg chewed up by one of their pet doggies. All three times of those things happened in my early teens and I was a very innocent kid at the time- just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Around the same time a friend of mine got killed by police while sitting in his home playing video games. This was cannabis related, as they came to try to charge/harass him for selling some small amount. They busted down the door and shot him in the back of the head as he started to turn with the video game controller in his hand. He was sixteen, same as me. Of course police are individuals, but Shit like this makes a person pretty damn jaded and I steer clear of cops in general, who are not in a good position to be treated as individual humans when they are dressed up as identical attack drones.
Oops I seem to be ranting...how did this happen? Not even my journal either, damn. ha ha. Sorry.

That's my next attempt UncleC, there is an embassy in the city :)

Careful what you wish for mate. There may be tax implications once you are officially registered into the shitstem as a US citizen.
