Footage from the inside of an enormous cannabis farm in Birmingham has emerged, showing hundreds of plants all crammed into a loft.
On Thursday police were pictured removing huge bags of the drug from the house in Gregory Avenue, after the discovery was made the previous evening.
The alert was initially raised when an electrical fire broke out at the property. Firefighters had a gun pointed at them by a young man when they arrived on the scene.
A hero Police Community Support Officer, who has been on the beat in Weoley Castle for three years, arrested a suspect and told him: "You're not bringing a shooter on my patch." The weapon later turned out the be a BB gun.
Hannah Moseley said she was "really angry" to discover the weapon had been brandished at 999 crews as they attended a fire in a junction box outside the address.
She said: " "I knew a response car would be a few minutes arriving and didn't want the bloke to get away.
"So I went after him, grabbed his arm and told him: 'You're not bringing a gun on my patch'.
"He could see I was really angry — I think he was a bit shocked — and I kept hold of him until back-up arrived to arrest him.
"I can't believe anyone would point a gun, real or otherwise, at fire or ambulance crews.
"These people are here to protect and save lives."
A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
Police said he was NOT linked to the drugs haul and no arrests had been made over the cannabis investigation.
Watch commander Phil Richards, of West Midlands Fire Service , who was at the scene, said firefighters were "shaken" by the experience.
He told the Mail: "We were called to an electrical fire.
"While we were there a man walked past and pointed a gun at the crew.
"He told us it wasn't real and tried to break it in front of us.
"I told him it was an offence."
Northfield station commander Lee Baker said: "We're very grateful to PCSO Moseley and colleagues for their support at this incident and prompt arrest of a suspect.
"Cannabis factories can be complex and dangerous for our crews, so then also being faced with a man with a fake gun is beyond words.
"Any threat to, or attack upon, our firefighters is one too many and will not be tolerated.
"As in this case, we will work closely with West Midlands Police to bring culprits to justice."
Inspector Lee Trinder, of West Midlands Police, said: "Hannah's hugely passionate about her job and the communities she serves.
"I'm not surprised by her actions, it's in her nature to do the right thing, but she still deserves lots of credit for her bravery.
"She's a real credit to the team."
