Cannabis has been found growing on the side of the A30 near the Daisymount roundabout.
Police were called at around 11.15am today on Tuesday to reports that cannabis plants had been located on the A30 at Daisy Mount Cross in Ottery St. Mary.
A police spokesman said at 4pm on Tuesday that officers are currently on the scene.
Police have said it is unclear if the plants in pots had been growing on the side of the road or had recently been dumped there.
Highways have assisted with a road closure on lane one of the road heading towards Honiton.
The A30 lane remains closed between the B3184/B3174 Exeter Road and the B3180 at Daisy Mount Cross.
