Two people who sold weed illegally to a medical marijuana dispensary have taken a plea deal.
According to the Mesa County District Attorney's Office, Thomas Swan and Lorrie Ann Schmit pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute to a dispensary. They were given a four year differed sentence.
Swan was originally arrested in January after police witnessed him putting a large bag of marijuana into his trunk. According to an arrest affidavit, Swan sold a quarter pound of marijuana for $550 to a dispensary. At the time of his arrest he was in possession of multiple pounds of the drug.
