Indoor marijuana gardens were discovered Wednesday night in two north Stockton homes, police said.
Officers found a total of about 700 plants growing in the two houses, which sit in a new housing development called Spanos Park West just off Eight Mile Road.
Several other new homes used for growing marijuana have been discovered recently in the Elk Grove area and the Natomas area of Sacramento. Tuesday's raids in Stockton followed the discovery earlier in the day of a large marijuana patch growing in a French Camp field.
Stockton police said they were tipped off about the latest pot houses by suspicious neighbors.
Officials said nobody appeared to be living in the two Stockton homes, which were used almost exclusively to grow marijuana.
