What do you guys think of tucking and folding fan leaves to let shaded bud sites through to get sunlight? Good idea or bad idea?

How is it going @Phillybonker

I grow DWC under a scrog net, so fan leaves are always and issue for me.

If you can tuck them that cool, but you may have to remove them anyways.
What stage is your plant in?
Do you have any images?

The more information you give us the better we can pin point a possible problem or make suggestions.

Stay safe, and grow well my friend,

My plants are 2 weeks into flowering. There is no problem, I just wanted to know if tucking and folding fan leaves to expose otherwise shaded bud sites to sunlight is a good idea or not. I understand fan leaves are there for a reason so I wasn't too sure.

I've got images but my plants are just your typical bushy indicas.

Fan leaves contribute 50% of plant root exudates via photosynthesis and translocation.

Also fan leaves are huge in their ability to move nutrients from roots to shoots via transpiration.

Then there's the whole plant growth regulator thing and why we use far red and blue for example in our lighting.

Plants move their leaves around constantly. Flowers dont do much photosynthesis.

I turn my plants pots from time to time when I think about it and always have air movement. That's about it other than making room down low for more air.
