Missouri Highway Patrol troopers found hundreds of marijuana plants at a home in Kansas City on Tuesday.
Troopers entered the house at 427 Lawn Ave. just before 9 a.m. Tuesday and found 500 marijuana plants growing in the basement. Police valued the marijuana at about $150,000.
Police took a man in his 30s into custody and he faces state and federal charges. A woman and a child who were at the house were sent to stay with relatives.
Troopers said the bust was the result of a yearlong investigation that involved multiple law enforcement agencies and utility companies.
No injuries were reported in the bust.
