I don't advise trimming things once flowering has begun. Maybe if it's week 1 or so, however I don't really do it.

If possible paper-clip (or similar) the leaves that you can do take care of shadows. Otherwise leave those good leaves alone! They will only help your flowers become sexier.

you could always tie down or bend some ofthe outter branches causing them to give light on the inner branches. mainly if you wanna maximize your buds growth all around the entire plant use some gardening green plastic wire and bore a few holes in the pot the plant is in then one end of the wire in the hole tied off, then the other end just attatch around the stalk/branch you wanna manipulate into moving outta tha way for the little-er buds to get some light as well as aeration. hope that helps a bit for ya. new here by the way ALL.... check out my last harvest pics of PK X Sour Diesel. here to learn and here to help..(if i can) ....

yea the tieing down trick does wonders!!! I LSTed my outdoor plant and it just filled in like a little bonsai bush!!! but with many branches!!! just try not to let the ropes touch the flowering spots!!!

:peacetwo:

oh yeah and def/ cut off /trim the little guys just starting out halfwy or earlier on during flowring they will never catch up to the actual budding one from the beginning so get rid of them, just a waste of Nutria'

trimming the main fan leaves during flower actually helps get fatter buds due to better light penetration. I've run several side by side comparisons to test this out myself and the plants that were trimmed always yielded more. I don't cut any of the brances or growing shoots, just the primary fan leaves along the main stem and branches.

yea, your right. i have a Shark Attack Dina-fem plant going and its VERY dark in color reminds me or '98 Bubba Kush type colorings. and the fan leaves are so big and wide that i must cut them out to give light to the littler ones underneath. although the big fan leaves with NO nutrient burn are beautiful...kinda feel sad having to cut them although in the front of my mind ill knowany plant cut back or fan leaves taken off will result in BEtter leaves to follow. :) which is a good thought.

well i have this momma been flowering 15 days today, soooooooo many branches and shoots everywhere, especially in the middle. and im trying to get those to get more sun but ive read in Jcs Horticulture bible NOT cut anything off unless its dying itself so. id rather not risk the pest issue once again and possible stunting its growth even more.

so your using OUtdoor?..... with pests outside especially the NEW breeds of bugs in the NORTH americas... east coast Stink bugs ae fairly hatefull towards Cannabis, although they love other things like tomatoes and such they do tend to gather on cannabis fan leaves and the talks mainly.

one of my rules with TOO many shoots/ side braches/ budding sites... is if i can bend them down and curl them away from all of each other tie 'em down somehow then i dont cut them away BUT ...depending on if your strain makes ONE cola or multiple sides and bud sites it really depends on the strain. i pretty much cut any little ones left over (stalks/shoots) especially the ones that are on the "underside" of the bent down main trunk... the ones that curl down around and up to get light, plus just think "IF" your gonna clone or preparing to...you have alot of clone Prospects then!. if not its still ok...JUST think your making room ..if you cut a little branch away from another right next to it..then that ONE left over branch will BUD MORE in a sense with the Combined amount that you woulda gotten IF leaving the little branch you cut off. so all in all your fine with cutting some away the ones leftover will result in bigger yield instead of multiple branches with smaller buds. sorry for a book long Comment. just had to get that off my mind.

if you read to not cut the leaves, just try it and see what happens. I read all kinds of conflicting things in these "books" that claim to have the best way to grow, but really, this plant is a weed, it will grow like a weed, and it's really hard to kill. I've been growing for a couple years and have never killed a plant through all my experiments.

pruning however has always done great things for me with any plants, cannabis included.

If you happy with the hieght you can super crop them and tie them down there are so many ideals about ya or nay about trimmming leaves your plant looks great I would super crop it and tie it down so the middle can get air and sunlight so when the inner bud sites come in they'l get light and also to cut down and mold or mildew, they say cutting the leaves focuses energy towards more bigger buds I believe some stress helps produce buds like super cropping and tying down all are good things to help if you have several plants tie on down and super crop the otherand compare it may flower more quicker I read alot on here and other forums everyday for 3 years and have had great results

im lst the plants right now but i have to tie em more and more each day the growth is getting to big for my space.

Just seen the pics an yeh its getting crammed in there, You say its flowering, do you mean 12/12 light because there are no flowers yet, my point is, just leave it for a week see what happens.
The plants will stretch alot when they start to flower properly so it may sort its self out.
Failing that, take a few of the middle big ones off to let in a bit of air an light, I'm having same predicament now, as long as there still loads of pans left it will help. Hope this helps bruv, Peace:goodjob:
Or see if you can fit some side cfl light in to penetrate the inside, but most bud sites find the top anyway, if they dont bend the leaves below the buds.

yeah like i said before and someone else did too, its a weed itll grow almost no matter what cept for OVER feeding which is STILL hard to do. but i think mainly its all depending on what strain it is...and it varies only a little either Sativa, or indica, and most now are mixtures of both or even Ruderalis as well. Those three will tell you how high it will become in a way. and the Pheno-types will tell you what to expect in density, coloration, and smell as well as wield with the indica/sativa mix....

so after doing some research online or wherever about what type of strain you have and how big it gets usually and how it grows then you can make up a plan on what to do to it..then DO IT. after that just GO with it... :)and everything will be fine. hmmm i forgot to add some COIR to my soil medium this time...lol... only perlite with FOX FARM soil.... itll still do well...
