To trim or not to trim? Beginner

I'm trying to grow my first plant (Amnesia Haze Auto) and I was wondering if I should trim the lower leaves or not? I've seen a lot of pictures from people trimming their lower leaves, but I don't really understand why...

I'm using a 40x40x120 growtent with a 125W 6400K CFL.
The first signs of flowering appeared a couple of days ago.

People trim lower leaves to redirect plant's energy toward the upper regions.

I never grew autos but from what I hear, autos are not exactly good candidates for pruning and topping, although this is, surely, strain-dependent. All autos finish fast (compared to photoperiod strains) and, therefore, have much less time to recuperate.

All right. I'll stick with the "natural" form form now.
My next grow is likely going to be Bigbud XXL (Ministry Of Cannabis), I'll look into trimming then

I'm also keeping a day-by-day photo journal that I'll likely upload when my grow is finished.

I would suggest to start your journal right away. If problems arise during your grow, you have better chance of solving them this way. Lots of great growers here that can help along the way.
