A Trick-O-Treater in Douglas got a little more than he expected in his bag when he found a marijuana cigarette mixed in with his Milk Duds and Hershey's Kisses.
The boy was looking though his bag when he found the strange looking item wrapped in white paper.
The boy told an adult about it and the adult called the Douglas police, said Marcus Gonzales, the public information officer for the Douglas Police Department. The police arrived to the area of 7th Street and G Avenue.
Since the boy had not been out for very long, the police were able to narrow down the suspected household to the 500 block of 5th Street, Gonzales said.
"The police spoke with the residents of a house that was pointed out by the child," Gonzales said. "But the residents denied the allegations."
The police were unable to determine that these residents were responsible for putting the marijuana cigarette into the boy's bag. The police are continuing with their investigation.
