TTSIA....not sure what the stress mechanism is when transplanting. If the plant is marginally rootbound in a pot, then is moved to larger quarters with the same medium, watered in properly, how does this stress the plant? IMHO this would relieve more stress than it creates. What am I missing? Not trying to blaspheme, but I have seen enough conflicting advice floating around the various forums that I'm beginning to question a few things.
